Ron stirred at the sight of the blinding light flooding into his and Hermione's room. He turned over to face his back towards the window. His eyes struggled to open. When they did they skimmed over the clock before they fluttered shut. "Six am." He said groggy. He sat up eyes still closed and bags under them. "Babe, no offense, but why do we have to be up?" He questioned, forcing his eyes open to see Hermione over by their dresser. Her eyes were glistening in the morning sunlight. The chestnut orbs looked back at him in the mirror.
"Because you need to learn not to go to sleep at three am. And can you braid my hair? You're better at it then I am." She asked, sighing in frustration, dropping her wet sand hair and throwing the hair tie on the top of the dresser.
Ron chuckled and slowly got up, making his way to behind her chair. As he brush her hair he looked at her through the mirror. "I sure hope i'm better than you, i'm a hairdresser, love." He teased her and she rolled her eyes.
The more he brushed her hair the more the curls came out. He place the brush in front of Hermione and stuck his hand out. "Two hair ties, please." He asked, one hand still out and one running in her hair. She handed him the ties and relaxed into his touch. He started to portion her hair, and sniffed it. Peach, caramel, and strawberry. "Did you already take a shower?" He asked going back to her hair.
Hermione looked up into the mirror to see Ron's fiery red hair falling over his eyes as he played around with her hair and twisting it around. "Yes, I woke up at five." She answered looking back down. "We have breakfast at seven-thirty with Luna, Harry and Kage." She added when Ron opened his mouth.
"How old is Kage now? I'm done." Ron replied.
Hermione stood up and felt the braid. She turned, motioning Ron to get dressed. He walked over to the closet and Hermione spoke while putting her cinnamon perfume on, "Seven I think, and good job on the braid!" Hermione exclaimed, pulling the braid onto her shoulder so she could see it.
Ron came out of the closet wearing a long sleeve, flannel button up, dark blue that looked like black jeggings with purple flowers on them and a belt that had little containers all around, there was a container with hair ties of all different colours and sizes. Five little loops where hair brushes hung of them. A container with combs in it. Another had hair spray. And the last one had hair die, shampoo and conditioner. His hair in a man bun. His sides where shaved, but the top was still really long.
Hermione looked at him and sighed, but she didn't say anything. Ron wore that belt on a daily basis and she didn't know why. Only times he didn't wear it was at night and on important occasions. And apparently seeing your best friend for the first time in 4 years wasn't important.
"Babe, did you have to blindfold me?" Ron asked, being dragged aimlessly somewhere.
"Shut it Ron, yes I did!" She snarled.
Ron dragged his feet on the ground. His leather boots made a familiar sound. His mind stopped and he pushed his boot into the ground to feel and hear its reaction. But he forgot that Hermione was dragging him and he tripped, falling face first on the gravel. "At least now I know it's gravel." He thought grudgly.
"Oh! Ron I'm so sorry are you ok!?" Hermione exclaimed, holding her hand out to help him up. When he did nothing except sit there she mentally face palmed herself. "You have a blindfold on..." She thought, sighing at her own actions.
She reached down and yanked him up by both arms. Ron swayed once he got up because of how fast she pulled him up.
Hermione decided to let Ron get a hold of himself. She put one hand on her hip and the other one was holding her lip. She glanced over at the door and saw someone staring with tears in her eyes.
