December fifth nineteen ninety five
One week before Christmas break
One month later
Ron walked into the common room slowly and quietly. It was 3am on a Tuesday. He had thoughts on his mind and this was his best idea to let them all out without realizing it.
He was wearing a dark green hoodie with the hood up, covering most of his vibrant red hair. Only a flop was out, shimmering in the moonlight coming in through the windows. The hoodie was covering most of his maroon shorts that had a white F on the left side and a white G on the right, laying on his thighs.
Ron tip-toed over to the window and opened it. The bitter cold wind came hurtling in, biting Ron's legs, hands, and face. Ron stepped carefully towards the window and the wind calmed a bit. It sounded like a whisper. It was still freezing, but that didn't bother Ron.
There was a small book with all four house's flags on the cover. This book wasn't in Hogwarts library. Barely anyone knew it existed, not even Hermione. It was a book on all of the houses.
Ron took it and walked over to the big armchair by the fire. He curled up on it, threw a green fluffy blanket over himself, and pulled his hood over his ears more. Then started to read:
Heard of HOGWARTS; A HISTORY?
This book is written by the Founders themselves. If you are reading this you are very lucky. This book contains; The Founder's childhood, the plan to make Hogwarts, diary entrees, secrets, and more.
I think i underestimated "you are very lucky". You and me are the only ones who have found this. No Headmaster, Professor, or great wizard has read this. I am an ordinary wizard. I have placed my own journal in the back of the book. Every time I write in it, you'll see it appear. Without further ado, Welcome to;
A Founder's Past!
Ron always had liked Salazar Slytherin's section the most. Ron used to hate Slytherin house, but now it's his favorite. Salazar was actually adventurous. He loved it, he just stratigized instead of, like Godric, going out on a whim.Even though he liked Slytherin's part, he had read it many times. So he flipped to the back of the book where words were just starting to form.
Dear Ronald Weasley,
Ron's eyes widened at the beginning. That had never happened. It always said, Dear whoever is reading this.
Yes, I know it is weird for you to see your name at the top. But when I finally figured out who you are, I wanted to address you as...well, you. I am actually very glad that it is you who has this and not someone else.
This is not a journal entree, this was just to let you know that that is how I'm going to address you and such.
Have a good night and sleep. It's fucking three am.
Sincerely, Me
Ron stared at the page for several minutes in disbelief. "This person knows who I am!?" Ron thought.
He sighed after awhile and closed his eyes. "I came down here for a reason.." He sighed again and opened his eyes. He stared out the window at the moon. In the distance a wolf howl could be heard and Ron could help but give a small smile to himself. Half of the pearly white with gray spots sphere was covered by pasty fog, but you would know that it was a full moon with all the howling.
Ron hesitantly lifted himself off the chair and walked over to the window. He slammed the book shut, the wind picking up as if to cover the sound from everyone else. He took out his wand and moved the tip gently in a lock shape on the black cover with all the house's flags. As he did the book slowly started to disintegrate, 'til there was just dust. Ron waited for a moment for the wind to blow it away before he stalked back to the big red armchair.
He laid with his head slightly hanging off and his feet over one of the arms. He used his wand and changed the fluffy blanket from green to white so if someone found him they wouldn't be suspicious. He stared into the fire and everything, all his thoughts, his worries, everything just burned. He was memorized, his mind stopped and his body did whatever which was picking at the F and G pop outs on his shorts. Little did he know, his mind didn't disappear, it just cut him out.
"Hermione. What are we going to do about her?"
"Well for starters, we should break up with her!"
"No! We can't do that. How would that benefit Roxanne?"
"Ronald. And because if we broke up with her than Ron wouldn't worry so much about her. I mean he would still care for her and love her, but just like a friend. He would hurt her by staying together with her."
"No, he wouldn't! He would hurt her if we broke up with her. And if we hurt her, than we're hurting Rox- Ron!"
"Fine, whatever. New topic?"
"Mystic River a month ago."
"Fine. The cat, book, or stranger?"
"Cat!"
"Right, well. That cat seemed to know what it was doing. It could have been controlled or an Animagus."
"Could..."
"That's what i said."
"What if it's not?"
"That's why I said could. I was thinki-"
Ron's eyes jolted open at the feeling of something on his stomach.
