Pulling up to the house I parked and exited, walking up to the door I knocked before stepping in, I smiled at Mrs. Click's daughter Lacy, her messy red curls flying everywhere as she ran to greet me "Ember!" She shouted, her small four year old body jumped into my waiting arms. "Hey Lace, how's it going?" I asked casually as I held against my hip, ruffling her curls I looked at Samantha, Lacy's older sister. "Hey Ember long time no see." Sam said with a tight lipped smile. I nodded to her before turning to Mrs. Click "hello Mrs. Click," I said smiling "oh please, It's Jenna, I insist." She said, I gave her a small smile, "so I'm free to use the warehouse for my photo's and art correct?" I asked softly, Jenna nodded smiling "oh! Before I forget I let a young gentleman borrow it as well." She said turning back to finish her cooking "such a sweet boy, he was." She mumbled to herself, I had stiffen as soon as she said she had let someone else use the warehouse. Lacy was the only one who really understood why I hated people looking at my work, she was the only one I had told the story to, and shown my work. I smiled at Lacy as she started to rub soothing circles on my arm, I whispered to her "it's fine as long as he stays on his side and doesn't snoop." Lacy nodded in understanding and smiled up at me "well I better go get my stuff and get into the warehouse I'll see you guys around," I said, placing Lacy on the ground, she pouted but other than that didn't give me any problems. I waved as I walked out of their house and towards my car, which had everything I needed inside. I got in and started the car, backing out of their driveway, I took off down the road to the warehouse. Parking my car next to a motorcycle I got out, I grabbed what I needed and started towards the door. I opened the rusty iron door, its hinges screeching, I winced making a mental note to oil the hinges later. A boy in black skinny jeans, a nirvana t-shirt, and a dark grey beanie looked at me. He held a skateboard in his hand, his black fringe covering one of his eyes, which were a dark blue. I smiled slightly before turning to the skate park thing he'd set up. I eyed it before turning back to my work. Pulling my hair back into a short ponytail, I placed my bags next to a small corner before turning and heading back outside, taking the box that held my table I carried it inside, the boy was still watching me but he'd taken a seat at the other end of the room. Placing the box down I pulled out my pocket knife, cutting the tape. Pulling the parts out I set to work, building my table was simple enough, I could feel the strangers eyes watching me intently, I sighed before turning towards the boy "look," I snapped causing his head to snap upward "I don't mind sharing things as long as you don't touch my stuff, don't talk to me, and don't come anywhere near my space because I'll tell you this now. I. Will. End you." My eyes narrowed at him, and all he did was smirk "what if I want to talk to you though?" He asked, and I must admit his voice was deeper than I expected, I just shrugged and turned away. I heard him stand up and start to move, I tuned him out as I started working on my table, suddenly I felt someone standing behind me, I turned slightly to look at him. "Yes?" I asked, annoyance in my tone, he smirked at me and sat down next to me, and I sighed, but went back to my work, once I finished I had a sturdy table, I smiled and flipped it onto its legs. The boy stared at me as I got to work, pulling out my camera I started around the room, humming to myself, I made a face at how plain it was then I brightened as I danced towards my bag, pulling out my paint I started to splatter it along the walls, being careful to avoid the boy's skate park. I used my dark blue, light blue, light grey, dark grey, black, white, and different shades of red. I smiled at the walls, suddenly I felt him behind me again, I rolled my eyes "that's pretty neat," he said, I shrugged, before going outside, the guy kept following me, I sighed in annoyance. "What do you want now!" I asked exasperated, he smirked "what's your name?" He asked, I blinked a few times "Ember. Your's?" He grinned, "Max, nice to meet you Ember," he said, smiling at me. I sighed, wishing I had a book to throw at him. "You really don't know what 'leave me alone' means," I said sourly, he pouted at me "oh come on now don't be such a downer," he hesitated for a moment before softly saying "I know you were careful not to get any paint on my little uh- skate park, so thanks." I eyed him for a moment before I sighed and said "you're not gonna leave me alone," he smirked "nope," he popped the 'p' in the word and I just sighed, deciding it didn't matter anymore. At the end of the day I left, Max and I had come to the conclusion that I would bring candy and drinks, and he would bring snacks, and a fridge. Not a bad guy I suppose, still not worthy of seeing my stuff, but a pretty neat Guy none the less.
