Chapter 11:

Kaine

"What are you doing?" I ask Shelly over the phone. I was at the shop and she was at home.

"Watching tv, what do you want?" I took the phone from my ear trying to make sure I heard her ass right.

"Who the fuck is you talking to like that Nichelle? Fuck is wrong with you?"

"Because I want some edible arrangements and you told me no."

"You can't be serious right now?" Spoiled girl problems, I swear. "If you want it so bad then why can't you buy it ya self?"

"I will not be spending that much for some fruit when I could get it from the grocery store for less."

I threw my hands in the air. "Then why the fuck would you want me to spend my money on it?"

"Because it's cute and you love me." I sucked my teeth.

"You just cheap as fuck."

"Okay?"

"And can't take no for an answer."

"Okay?"

"Man, bye Shelly." I said as I heard her laugh into the phone.

Her ass will fight me teeth and nails when we go shopping and I wanna pay, but let it be something small like this and she'll be all for me buying it then.

"Aw you got it." Shelly said taking the edible arrangements from me and walking away. I hooked my arm around her waist before she got too far.

"You just gonna take the shit without a thank you daddy, I love you, nothing?" I ask kissing on her neck.

She laughed lightly turning around in my arms. "Thank you Kaleb. I love you boo."

"Spoiled ass." I said watching her pull a pineapple star off and take a bite while moaning. "Aye don't do that. Fuck around and get fucked right against this door."

I smriked as she grinned pushing me away.

I pulled out my phone seeing a text from Kjayy. "Wanna go out with the crew tonight? It's only for beer and wings." I ask Shelly.

"Um, sure." She said eating a chocolate covered strawberry.

"Bae you gonna share?" I ask as I texted Kjayy back letting him know we were down with going.

"Uh, no." She said shaking her head.

"Damn, that's how you feel?" She nodded as she kissed my cheek then heading upstairs. "Where you going?"

"To take a shower and get ready."

"Well shit, I could use a shower too." I jumped up following her.

"Cut the attitude Kaleb." She said not even turning around.

"What's up Shelly?" I hear an unfamiliar male voice say. I look from her ass seeing her hugging some dude, the same dude that hugged her at the hospital.

I was already annoyed, but that done pissed me off.

"Nah." I said pulling Shelly back from his arms. "Ain't coo with no random ass nigga havin his hands on my woman, so you can dead that shit."

"Ah, the boyfriend?" He asked.

"Yeah nigga and you don't want no problems." I said moving Shelly hands off of my chest as she told me to stop.

"Bruh, we just friends."

"She don't need no fuckin friends." I snapped grabbing Shelly's hand and walking inside.

Shelly

"What's going on with y'all?" Karma whispered in my ear.

We been here with the crew the whole night. I be trying to put on a front, but I was so pissed off and annoyed with Kaine. He was pissed too, but was obviously trying not to show it. He was being petty the whole night, even sat as far away from me as he could. I honestly just wanted to go the fuck home. Not to his house, mine.

"The usual. You know he is an ass." I said. I grabbed my drink taking a sip.

"Hey Kaine." I female voice said in a flirtatious voice.

I look up as some hoe walking pass barely wearing anything smirking as she flipped her hair.

"What's up?" He nods smirking at her watching her ass with his eyes as she walks pass.

"No this hoe didn't." Karma mumbled.

"No this nigga didn't." Nel said.

I was steaming mad and I'm sure my face was red from anger and embarrassment. The table became awkwardly quiet.

"I'm gonna go." I said standing up.

"And we are gonna take you." Nel said standing up grabbing her bag and signaling for Kjayy to follow.

"Sis don't sweat my stupid ass brother." Kjayy said wrapping his arms around my shoulder. "He just did that because he was pissed off and wants you to be just as pissed off."

"Well, he succeeded." I mumbled getting into the back of his car.

I sighed. Kaine knows just what to do to piss me off and he'll do just that in the worst way to get me to that level. He knows how I can be very much insecure, but he chooses to purposely look at another girl who looks way better than me and is younger than me right in front of my face. Just because he wants to be a childish asshole.

Maybe being with a younger guy isn't for me.

Shit, maybe I should just be single for the rest of my life because this is the type of shit that I don't have time for. He's gonna push me back into my old me. The me that was gonna be single forever and never get married.

To make things worse he didn't even care to follow me out of the food place.
