3rd POV

-Friday-

Hats flew up into the air accompanied by loud screams. There was a mix of names and 'Yay's and even crying. People everywhere were enveloping others in hugs while others held conversations but two people in particular were looking for each other. They pushed through the crowds of people, ignoring their families pleas, until they found one another.

"Darren. Over here." Niyla called as Darren came rushing over to her in his purple robe and square shaped hat. "Hello, high school graduate." Darren says as he envelopes Niyla into hug. "Hello to you too, fellow high school graduate." Niyla says as they break apart from the hug.

Niyla feels Darren's fingers squeeze between hers and they stare out into the crowd. For a moment they think about everything they went through for the past four years and especially this year.

They think about Rose and how she was a man stealing whore. They think about Adrian who was a jealous so called friend. They thought about how good of an actor Eliza was. They thought about all of their fights even though there was probably only two.

But most of all they thought about the good things. They thought about the time Darren drove Niyla home. They thought about the first time they kissed. They thought about how somehow they always found each other. They thought about love.

Then they were interrupted from their thoughts by the voice of the geek that they call 'bestie'. "I take it that you two love birds will be attending the graduation party in a few minutes." Niyla and Darren turn around to face Tom and can't help but to roll their eyes.

Niyla is the first to complain, "You make it sound as if we're going to a meeting or something like that." Tom just chuckles and rolls his eyes. "And you make it seem as if my intelligence is too overwhelming for the capacity of your brain to maintain." He says and simply walks off.

Darren tries to hold in a laugh but he can't help but to let it slip when Niyla turns around and glares at him. "What did I do wrong? You're the one who just got burnt. By the way do you need some ice" Darren says while laughing and Niyla just pulls him towards his car, but not before giving him a 'HaHa very funny.'

By the time Niyla and Darren get to the car Tom has already turned on the radio. His eyes were shut as he pretended to play a violin, the classical music playing in the background. Darren and Niyla got into the driver and passenger seat and turned down the music to Tom's dismay.

"I do not understand how you imbeciles could be so inconsiderate." But Darren started the car anyway and replied with, "Tom, why don't you consider throwing up that thesaurus."

That was the end of the conversation until they got to their destination. There was a beautiful sunset on the horizon and being at the beach made it even more beautiful. They all jumped out of the car and joined all of the other high school graduates in the sand. The loud music drowned out the sound of the waves but the yelling and chatting drowned out the loud music.

Niyla and Darren joined at the hands once again and Tom walked off to give the little love birds some time alone. He was even considering getting himself a drink or two. The love birds walked hand in hand down to the shore. They kicked off their shoes and went far enough that their ankles were covered by the warm sea.

"Doesn't this feel so cliché romantic." Darren asked, eliciting a laugh from Niyla. "Yeah. But I like it." Niyla said and it was Darren's turn to laugh, "Don't make this any cheesier than it is, Niyla."

Niyla let go of Darren and took off her robe, Darren doing the same exact thing. The love birds walked out deeper into the water, not caring if they got their clothes wet. Once again they joined their hands, intertwining their fingers. It seems to have become a habit over the last week of school.

"You know what would make this moment even more cliché?" Darren asks Niyla and she shakes her head. "What? A shark jumping out of the water and tearing us apart limb from limb. Organ from organ. Cell from cell. Muscle from muscle." She answers and Darren just looked her with a dafuq-be-going-on-in-your-head? expression.

Instead of asking that he just told her the answer, "Kissing before the sun goes down. Or before a shark eats us." He adds quickly when Niyla glares at him. "Sounds good to me." Niyla says and gives Darren's hand a squeeze.

Darren places his free hand on Niyla's cheek, and his forehead on her's. "I'm going to remember this cliché moment for the rest of my life. Well that is if we get married or something. Not that I want to get married right away but it would be weird if I marry someone else and remember this moment forever. Because then-"

"Darren, shut up and kiss me." and that's exactly what he does. They find each other's lips and connect them as if that was the last time they'd see one another. But then he started laughing. Darren literally burst out laughing in the middle of a compassionate, PDA filled kiss.

"What in the world is wrong with you Darren." Niyla furrows her eyebrows as she begins to get angered but Darren continued to laugh his little heart out. "I have no idea how this is funny you butt face." And that just makes Darren laugh harder.

"Look Darren, if you don't tell me what's funny I will take your keys and drive myself home." Niyla threatens getting Darren's attention. He calms himself down a little and takes his girlfriend's hand.

"I just thought about how this all started." He said and Niyla furrowed her eyebrows once again, "How the party started? Because I'm pretty sure people setting up a few tents and music isn't very funny." Niyla says as she motions her free hand to the music speakers.

Darren just snorts and rolls his eyes, "No you silly pickle, I'm talking about how our relationship started." He said and once again his whole demeanor was serious. "I don't know what you mean." Niyla started, "Actually how did this jacked up thing that we call a relationship start in the first place?"

Niyla looked deep in thought, but by the time she figured out the answer Darren had already said it.

"A game of oreo."
