Week three in the cabin and I have come to terms that this is where I will be for the rest of my life. Hidden, isolated and off the grid with the love of my life. The thought of it makes my palms sweat and my heart thuds, I can't help but blush.
In a completely new setting I can't help but want to know more.
"We must go outside Stokeley" I stand over my love.
He looks up at me, his face serious and still. "You are nothing less than insane".
"We cannot stay in this cabin for the rest of our lives" I roll my eyes, that's something that can make me insane. This is the area of enchanting wonders, if this is where we will raise our family we must know more about it".
" I know these woods like the back of my hands, the like sound from my vocal chords" he grunts.
"But I don't" my arms fold together. "I don't care for the risks, I have been taking risks my whole life".
"Alright" Stokeley gives up "we have protection for thousands of miles, but let us please be back before dawn".
I bend over and kiss his cheeks, and continue on my way.
I run through the woods passing all the trees admiring the blue sky and green plants as the breeze hits my face. I stop and smile for a second smile then fall to the ground. The clouds are so fluffy looking and white, the scent of moss and wood chips infiltrating my nostrils while I gaze above.
"Everything is so pretty", I whisper.
"Not as pretty as you" Stokeley's voice hollows.
I turn my head to see Stokeley laying next to me.
"Mmtch" I smile "get out of here with that corny shit, your ruining the moment.".
He chuckles and grabs my hand and we gaze at the clouds before I sit up.
"GET UP" I gasp.
"What"?!! He says in confusion.
I point and smile at the fast traveling ball of yellow light, swirling around me then traveling down a narrow path.. "Fae's"! "Let's follow them" I clap. These spiritual beings were nothing live I've seen before. The way they take flight is so graceful, the fast flutter of their wings, I couldn't help but want to see more.
"Eh I don't know Azina" he pulls me back. " fairies are kind of known for being silly and getting people lost.. And just being cold and callus".
"Stop being scary, I doubt they'd bring us too far".
Stokeley can't resist giving me anything I'd ever want, he wants nothing but to give the world to me. It hurts him to say no. "Fine he puffs" but only for a few moments".
We follow the fae's for about a minute when they bring us down this trail.
Stokeley and I stare at each other for a bit.
"Woah".
What is this place?? I think to myself. We were in a section of the forest so evergreen. The colors of the forest were so vibrant as the faes lit up the scenery separating into two rows, similar to how a candle light visual will be lined up for brides to walk down an aisle.
I continue to walk down the trail, Stokes following not far behind me until I stop by a bed of water. I back up a bit when I notice a few shrews running rapidly and disappearing into a small hole. I am amazed as I peer into the hole and get a wave of excitement down my body. I just love animals.
I turn around and smile.
"Babe look"!
I turn to see Stokes is nowhere to be found.
"Babe"??
Just then a fae flies by my ear and whispers, "eternal punishment"...
"What" raises my eyebrows.
"Eternal punishment"!
It disappears and I get a terrible gut feeling. I yell.
"STOKELEY"!!!!
He suddenly comes into my vision and is running towards me. "We need to get back now" he shouts!
As he's literally a few feet away from me the ground rumbles. I try to grab his hand but the ground breaks apart and a wall of ice builds between us. We stare at each other trying to figure out what to do.
That's when I realized someone was sneaking up behind Stokeley.
"MOVEEE"! I yelled out a scream that was so blood curdling the leaves of the forest trees shook.
Before I could continue my scream it was too late. The person had put their sword through Stokeley. I stare in terror as I watch blood fall from his mouth and he drops.
"NOOOOOO"!!! I cry and begin punching the wall trying to break the ice. My hand bleeds because of the force of my hit but the wall doesn't budge. I fall to my knees and cry. Sobbing so hard that my head hurts I can't even breathe. Then the forest turns into flames, all I hear are blood curdling screams and the heat causes me to pass out.
I regain consciousness and the first thing I see is the blue sky. I get up and see Stokeley kneeling in front of me. I run to him and we hold each other crying.
"I thought you were dead" we both say.
"So" I move my hair out of my face, "all of that... was an illusion"?
"I guess" he stands up "or maybe a warning, we need to get back to the cabi
