I looked around and though I must be sleeping huh haven't done that in a while. I had my shades on but took them off and sat up and saw karkat by my feet.
"What? Karkat? Why are you here?"
"DAVE!" Maybe I wasn't dreaming but then why did it feel like it? A few hours later I woke up in a panic. I was in the hospital my arms were bandage and legs too.
"Mr. Strider are you already up? I'll get your guests real quick." Karkat, bro and, gamzee was in front of me.
"DAVE ARE YOU FEELING OK?"
"Little man are you alright?"
"YoU mOtHeRfUcKiNg Ok?"
"What are Guys talking about what did I do?" I knowticed that karkats face had a scratch.
"Karkat are you ok?"
"ME? YOUR WAY WORSE!"
"So I can't feel it..." I thought about what happened. "Wait we crashed?"
"Ya you were speeding and crashes into a truck your lucky to be alive!"
"But this morning I was at karkats hive how did I end up in my car?"
"IT WAS MY FAULT WE WERE GOING TO THE STORE AND WE GOT IN AN ARGUMENT THEN WE CRASHED." I tried getting up.
" LAY DOWN!" I stayed seated.
"Hey what's the deal?"
"ARE YOU CRAZY YOUR WOUNDS COULD OPEN AGAIN." I could tell karkat was worried.
"I'm sorry". I looked at my hands and saw dry blood then looked at karkat.
"Fuck."I put my head in my hands then felt a hand on my head. I looked up it was bro.
"Don't beat your self up you and karkat are lucky to be alive, ok? Now me and gamzee are going to check out karkat and see how long you need to stay. Stay. in. bed!"
Gamzee and bro left only me karkat and dead silence was left in the room.
"Kar-" Karkat got into the hospital bed and curled up next to me. I lifted his face with my finger on his chin I kissed him and held it till I felt his arm hold on to mine. He kissed back passionately then we just hugged but drifted to sleep. bro and gamzee got back woke us up.
"Karkat and gamzee are going home so we just need you to let go of him". I watched karkat and gamzee leave then fell back to sleep instantly. Through the week I got to go home but wasn't fully healed.
"Karkat what were we arguing about?"
"UM." I knowticed karkat hesitated to say anything.
"Its ok I don't need to know." I got up from my bed and karkat did too.
"Did you need something?"
"NOPE."
"Ok then?" I walk twords the door karkat followed I stopped and karkat did too. I thought he's been following me a lot lately.
"Um are you ok?"
"NOT REALLY IM JUST WORRIED."
"But you've followed me for awhile now."
"I JUST LIKE HOLDING ON TO MY MATESPRITE."
" ..."
"ARE WE NOT?"
" I um don't know?"
"OH I THOUGHT WE WERE AT THAT POINT. IF WE'RE NOT IM SORRY I SAID THAT."
"Its not that I just don't know what a matesprite is."
"TO HUMANS ITS A PAIR BETWEEN MALES AND FEMALES, FEMALES AND FEMALE AND, MALES AND MALES. THE MALE AND FEMALES IN A RELATIONSHIP ARE ALSO REFERRED TO AS BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND. ARN'T WE THAT?"
"You aren't the first one to ask actually and I guess its up to you."
