HARRY'S POV

I went straight to kitchen to grab some water.

"What was that?" Grandma asked, making me nervous.

"What do you mean, Grandma?" I said as I sat at the chair.

"C'mon dear. I heard you." She said as she sat across me. "Spill it out. I'm listening."

I'm nervous. I'm nervous because they don't know about this whole fake engagement thing.

"Uhmm. That... Eh...Uh... I really love her, Grams. I really do. But I just don't know how to tell her straight in the eyes how I really feel for her." I said looking down.

"She's your Fiancé. How come you didn't tell her you love her?" She asked, confused.

I look up to her then said, "Look, I didn't mean to do all these bullshit. But, Grams, promise me you'll not be angry."

"I won't." She said. "C'mon speak up."

"Sorry because I lied to you. This is all fake. This is all just pretending. Fake engagement. She's just pretending that she loves me...and...." I trailed off.

"You love her." She said, smirking.

"I really do. I really do, Grams. But it feels like I just hurt her." I said looking down.

"Why do you say so?"

"Because after our performance at the school party, Jill came at the backstage, she hugged me and kissed me. And in just a second, she's gone. I feel like I've hurt her. What should I do?"

"Then tell her tomorrow when she wakes up that you're really sorry for what happened. Don't overthink. It'll be okay."

She's right. It'll be okay. I am beyond thankful for having an optimist Grandma.

"We should go to sleep now. It's past midnight. I'll talk to Jennifer tomorrow when she wakes up." I said standing up.

"Thank you for always being there for me Grams when things gets tough." I said as I kissed her cheek and we went upstairs. As I'm about to open my bedroom door she called me.

"Harry, if you really love her, you should tell her straight in her eyes that you really love her, that you are madly and deeply in love with her before it's too late. Always remember that next time is always too far. You'll never know what's gonna happen next. We'll never know what's gonna happen tomorrow."

I felt her sincerity. This is what I love about my Grandma, she pushes me beyond my limits and believe in me that I can do it.

"Thank you, Grams. Good night."

Next morning....

I woke up early. Today. Today is the day. This is it. I'll tell her that I love her.

From this day on, everything will be alright between us. I'll apologize to her for what happened lastnight. I'll tell her I love her and I'll do anything just for her to love me back. I'll tell her to punch me, kick me, or maybe hit me with anything she wanted just to make her forgive me.

My feet came rushing to her room. I'm willing to do it all. Everything for her. For us.

I reached the door of her room and I can hear my heart beating loudly against my chest.

I closed my eyes, took a deep deep breath and....

My spirit fell when I saw her room empty.

I walked in and started calling out her name. "Jen? Are you here?"

No one answered.

My eyes shifted to her bedside table. As I walk closer, my heart started to break down with what I saw....

Just above that table is the ring I gave her for our engagement and a folded paper.

It's her handwriting...

Dear Harry,

I will always remember the very first time we met, the very first time my lips touched your lips, the very first time you wrapped your arms around me and rested your head on my shoulder. I will always remember those things.

Harry, whether we admit it to ourselves or not, we both know that things are not okay, not just things between us but as well as with the things around us. You might have guessed what this means. I can't go on like this, Harry. I am just too tired of pretending to be your fiancé, and I know you are, too.

I am really sorry but, I am withdrawing myself from this engagement and I am returning the precious ring to you. You should give that ring to the one who deserves that, someone you really love for real.

I believe that parting ways is the best thing for both of us. I want you to know I wish you all the best in life.

PS: Let's just forget about each other, Harry. I'm going back to my life and you go back to yours. Promise me that.

I guess it all ends here. Goodbye.

-Jennifer

My heart was crushed with each word she wrote me. I took the ring and looked at it as I sat on her bed. I can feel my tears building up in my eyes. Pictures of her flashed in my head as I stare the ring.

Minutes later, I decided to go straight in the Airport. I might catch her and tell her that I love her.

I reached the Airport and I hurriedly went inside. I kept on looking for her.

There are too many people in the Airport and then....I saw her walking inside the departure area.

"Jennifer!!!!" I shouted at her, but she didn't turned back.

"Jennifer!!!!" I shouted again. I bet this time she heard me because she stopped right in front of the door. And I am still catching my breath.

But what hurts the most is that she just turned to look at me. I saw a tear escaped in her eyes and then she entered the door.

It's too late for me. She's already gone and maybe she doesn't want to see me again.

And my heart breaks for the very first time.
