The look on Decker’s face once Booth returned, files in hands, Aubrey at his side, was priceless. Lith Crowley was convicted for 1st degree murder and Decker was walking free. I had signed my name, my husband doing his part with his pen to the paper, and Michael Vincent was excited to have a big brother around the house.

Something just felt right about having Decker in the house. He was still uneasy about it all, but he looked like he knew what was right and what was wrong. He looked happy, and we were, too.

The week after Lith was indicted and given life in prison, Camille and Booth held a welcome party for Decker in the conference room Booth and Aubrey originally met him. My favourite thing about the entire party was when Cam gave him an intern badge, telling him he was getting college credits for working with me in facial reconstruction and weaponry identifications.

Mr. Hodgins. I could get used to hearing that.
