"Mary had a little lamb little lamb-" A male voice basically yelled. He shut his eyes, covering his ears. The blonde was holding back tears.
"For fucks sake 'Lex look at me!" The darker haired pulled his hands down. "No! I wont!" He snapped, turning his head. The other growled, narrowing his eyes. "Alexander! I'm warning you"
He opened his eyes, but stared at the bookshelves beside them. The blonde wouldnt look at his brother, now crying.
His brothers gaze turned away from him, as they heard a knock on the door. "Get yourself together", His brother hissed.
"Prince Vivian? The queen wants your assistance with the knight's horses." The maid said quietly, looking quite frightened.
Vivian nodded "Alright then. Tell mother I'll be there in a bit" She nodded, and ran off.
Vivian looked at his brother, before walking out of the library.
Alexander waited until he heard the door close to get up. The couch made a squeak as he did. He felt frustrated, sad- Hell even angry.
Viviann was his older brother by two years. To the kingdom, a loving soul that wouldnt hurt a fly. Alexander knew better.
As he walked through the library, he passed the fireplace. Still light, despite it being lit a few hours ago. A few hours ago he was in a good mood.
Alexander stopped infront of a painting. It was of him and Viviann. Him 5 years old, the soon to be king 7.
He sighed, and reached out a hand to touch it. Simple times. He wanted to go back to it. They were both in colourful clothing, kittens in their arms.
Alexander frowned, wiping his eyes. They were wet. He hadnt realized he had started crying again.
So innocent. Not knowing how big they would change in the later years.
He forced the tears down. "Get yourself together Princey." Alexander whispered, wiping his eyes. Looking at the painting once more, he turned, and walked back to where he had been.
The clock on the wall was ticking, and it annoyed Alexander. He glared at it, despite not doing anything.
He sat down on the couch, shutting his eyes. It was mostly peaceful. Even if the damn clock was loud.
Alexander thought a few minutes had passed, before a knock at the door was hear. "Come in", He mumbled. They would come in anyway, hearing the answer or not.
"Prince Alexander? The king of Hiven is here, aswell as the prince and princess of Hiven" The maid from before said.
He sighed "Tell mother I'll be down in a minute then".
She nodded, then left.
