Chapter 4

* 7 YEARS LATER *
Four years ago on Nayeon's 18th birthday, we moved to Seoul since her mate was a city wolf. Her mate got me an apartment of my own while Nayeon moved in to her mate's house. One of her mate's friends got us fake birth certificates and all that human stuff. Even if I think her mate is nice, she never really introduced me to him. She said he is a really busy man so he doesn't really have the time to meet up and I understood that. I now go by Lee Jiyeon. I used my mom's maiden name. Nayeon got me this job at the place she is working at as the CEO's secretary. The company's name is Nam Industries. And just as expected, I'm late on my first day. Well technically it was all Ivy's fault. She kept on blabbing about her ideal mate and that if I didn't listen, she will keep me up at night for the rest of the week.

When I arrived, I was already 7 minutes late. Going up the elevator, Nayeon unnie mind-linked me.
NY : "Where the hell are you?!! You're 8 minutes late! You know what happens when you're late!"
You : "I know I'm sorry I slept in. I'm in the elevator, be there in a few."
NY : "Aish, you're a pain in the ass Lee Jiyeon."
You : "Love you too."
I closed the mind-link.
You : "Ivy, if I loose my job because of you, I will block you out until I find a new one."
Ivy : "No, no. Please I'm sorry."
She started to whine. As I got there, I was greeted by an angry familiar face.
NY : You're in big trouble, girl.
She said then started dragging me to an office. We reached the office's door then she knocked on it.
NY : Mr. Kim? Your new secretary is here.
She opened the door and gently pushed me in. He was on the phone with someone, his back facing me.
??? : Okay. I'll get back with you later.
He ended his call and faced me.

??? : You are...
He paused to look at his watch.
??? : 11 minutes late. You know I would usually fire you by now but since we are low on interns, I'll spare you. My name is Kim Namjoon but you may address me as Mr. Kim.
You : Thank you so much, Mr. Kim. I promise you it won't happen again.
I said bowing repeatedly.
NJ : Make sure of that. You may go now. Nayeon will escort you to your desk.
You : Ok, sir. Thank you so much.
I bowed again one last time before leaving his office. Outside, Nayeon was waiting for me with a worried expression and of course, me being me, also put on a sad expression as if I got fired.
NY : What happened? Did he fire you?
I just looked down trying to hide my smile.
NY : Jiyeon, tell me what happened.
She said getting a grip on my arms.
NY : Did you get fired?
You : Of course...not.
I then started laughing at her reaction. She was both angry and happy.
NY : One day, I might actually die because of you.
You : Mianhe, unnie. Now show me to my desk.
She took me to a few tables by the windows. There, I saw two unfamiliar girls. Probably in their early 20s.
NY : Girls meet Jiyeon. Jiyeon this is Jennie and Jihyo.

You : Annyeong! My name is Lee Jiyeon and I hope that we can all get along!
??? : Hey, Jiyeon. I'm Kim Jennie, Mr. Kim's
assistant secretary.
??? : I'm Jihyo, Park Jihyo. Mr. Kim's PA.
When I shook hands with both of them, their true scent filled my nose.
Ivy : "They're werewolves, Y/N. You need to be careful."
You : "I will."
I shortly replied to her. I decided not to tell Nayeon about this since she might get all over protective with me again.
You : Okay, so let me get this straight. There's a secretary, an assistant secretary, and a PA? Isn't that too much?
JN : Mr. Kim is a very busy person, Jiyeon. Take it from someone who's been working for him for a couple of years.
You : Okay, atleast I can ask someone for help here.
I chuckled lightly and so did they. We all chatted while working. I learned that Nayeon unnie is the company's treasurer.
* MEANWHILE : NAMJOON's P.O.V. *
As soon as Jiyeon left, I contacted the person I was talking to earlier.
(OTP):
??? -: So, how was she? Was she just how like Yoongi hyung described her as?
You (NJ) -: Yep. The thing is I can't pick up her scent.
??? -: She must be on vervain. For now, just keep an eye on her.
You (NJ) -: Okay. What do we do after that?
??? -: I don't know. Do you have a plan?
You (NJ) -: You tell me. You're the alpha, I'm just your third-in-command.
??? -: But you were alpha before me. Not to mention your IQ is 148.
You (NJ) -: But I can't always do your work now, can I?
??? -: Whatever. Oh and, hyung?
You (NJ) -: Yes?
??? -: Jimin hyung is asking for the girls.
You (NJ) -: Don't worry, Jungkook. Tell the rest they're doing fine.
JK -: Okay, hyung. See you later at the meeting. Don't jimin later.
You (NJ) -: I won't.
I ended the call and sighed. 'Children. I work with children'.
* TIME SKIP : AT THE MEETING *
STILL NAMJOON's P.O.V.
We're having a meeting regarding our plan about Jiyeon. The rest of the members are here, so are the girls.
??? : So at the Decade Ball, you will introduce me and Jimin to her as your business partners then we try and lead her out to the balcony where the rest of you will be waiting.
You (NJ) : But what if your plan doesn't work?
NY : Namjoon's right. Jiyeon doesn't trust others that easily.
??? : Then we make a Plan B.
JK : And that would be?
??? : Take her to our table and introduce us then we tell her who we really are what we want.
??? : And if that doesn't work?
??? : Then we make a Plan C.
??? : Which is?
??? : Kidnap her.
NY : Totally not happening.
??? : But, babe, that's the only choice we've got if the other two won't work out.
NY : No, Yoongi. No. We will not kidnap Jiyeon as a Plan C.
JH : We just tell her then and there who we are for Plan C.
??? : I agree with Jihyo.
JN : Remind me why I can't tell her that I'm Namjoon's sister again.
You (NJ) : If she finds out that you're a werewolf, she will also know the same about me and it will blow our cover.
??? : So then everything is settled?
??? : Make sure Alpha approves off it.
JK : I agree to your plans. Meeting dismissed.
We all left one by one but before I left, I approached Nayeon.
You (NJ) : Nayeon, you don't have to do this if you don't want to.
NY : No. It's okay.
You (NJ) : Well then have a good night.
NY : You too.
