Like usual, it was raining in Gotham. It wasn't necessarily pouring down but it was enough to keep me in me down in the dumps. The foster family decided today that they didn't want me or my sister around anymore. We were barely able to grab our belongings before we were kicked out in the rainy dreadful streets of this city. Siren and faint screams could be heard in the background but we were used to it. Used to the fear and worry of every day. Our clothes were wet and we knew that all our cherished belongings were as well. We continued down the dimly lit street until we were stopped by a drunken looking man in his twenties. His hair was dishevelled and he stumbled as he walked.

"Hey, there pretty ladies. Why are two young girls like you walking alone in the rain at night?" He barely mumbles clear enough out. He pushes himself off the wall he is leaning on and approaches slowly

"Don't answer that," I whisper lowly enough to Jordan next to me. I look at her and shake my head. She only looks back at me and rolls her eyes.

"None of your business, now can you please move to the side so that my sister and I can keep moving?" She groans out to the man.

"Now now. Haven't your parents told you to respect your elders?" He tries to reach out to her, I push her to the side with worry in my eyes.

"No, because our parents left us. Now move aside."

"You can come with me and I'll teach you." He slurs grabbing on to my arm and pushing me off to the side, I hit the wall with a thud. I feel my power inside of me start to manifest. I take a deep breath and try to keep it controlled. My sister, on the other hand, punches the man with glowing eyes. He falls back to the cement with a whimper ad=nd stares up at her with wide eyes.

"Jordan, no." I groan. My arm is definitely bruised.

"You bitch!" He growls getting back uo from the wet floor of the street. I hear noises from above like something is moving on the fire escapes connected to the buildings or either landing on the rooftops. I look up just fast enough to see a man in a black suit with a blue-bird on the middle of his chest as well as a black domino mask covering his eyes, gracefully land on the ground, a grapple in hand and a frown on his face.

"Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" He laughs out walking towards us.  Before the drunk man has enough time to even register or even respond. The mysterious man punches him square in the face, most likely breaking his nose in the process.

"I had him," Jordan growls her once hazel eyes and hands now glowing yellow.

"Calm down. I just helped you." He moves over to me. "Are you okay?" I nod as a response

"Are you?" he inquires glancing back at my sister who has now calmed down a little. Her hands no longer glowing.

I nod, making my eyes glow red. "Since birth."

I remember thinking back to the day when Nightwing or should I say, Dick, brought us to meet the team, to help save the world by using our powers for good, which was 2 years prior. I remember smiling at the boy in front of me as he talks. I remember sitting at the desk with him talking about random things.

Unfortunately, I also remember when Jordan lost control of her powers during a mission that Dick and I were not assigned to. She killed a man in cold blood without remorse.

"He died and you killed him. You did that intentionally and you probably liked it." Roy Harper, the red-headed archer shouted.

"You know what. I actually did." She laughed out flailing her hands in anger. "And guess what I would probably do it again." She storms towards me, pushing Dick out the way and grabbing my arm pulling me off the chair.

"Jordan--" I speak out worried

"We're leaving." She growls. Once again her eyes are glowing yellow and my arms is beginning to feel like its burning with the heat that her hands are emitting.

"What? No, we're not. We can sort this out." She growls again pushing me towards the wall. My body hits the hard wall leaving a dent. I groan as I lay on the floor.

The team gets into a defensive mode and they begin to attack her. Dick runs over to me and helps me up from the ground. I stumble and my head throbs.

"Are you okay?" He asks as he supports my weight as I slowly sway.

"I'm fine." I look at the team fighting in front of us and the destruction already made. I frown "I guess we have to take her down." My eyes begin to glow red and I run forward to fight my dear twin.
