Stones don't bleed
They weren't created like that
In fact, a bleeding stone is nearly impossible to find.
Stones don't bleed
They don't have neither flesh nor fat,
Their insides aren't held up by complex pillars of calcium binds.
Stones don't bleed
They don't feel or touch
They don't hurt.
They don't have families, or friends or a care for life.
Big stones crush smaller ones;
With force,
Without remorse.
We live in a world where we are;
Crushed,
Crushed then brushed aside as the rocks they see us as.
Plain objects without a cause.
Without a purpose.
Stones don't bleed
We do
We bleed.
We bleed with tears and of course; the red pigment flowing beneath our chocolate or honey or caramel
Covered shield of glory.
We bleed the sweat of our ancestors
We bleed the pain and hurt of many untold stories.
Violence amongst each other, from others and within ourselves.
The needles boring holes in our skin transforms art; to thug.
The system constantly blend black-skinned with darkness in its white; ceramic coffee mug.
Darkness within the world when clearly the melanin
In our skin reflects the work of the Creator
We were designed to be a reflection of the sun.
Don't you see how light illuminates our bodies and brings shine to it?
Don't you see how we blaze like fire.
Like the light we are.
We are the color yellow. Orange and firey red.
Bright and bold
Like our skin toneStones don't bleed
We do.In fragile bodies we need to have strong souls
We are molds
Molds of greatness and love and strength
That's the only reference we have to stones
Stones don't bleed
We do.
So stop being the crabs they want us to.
We were handpicked, buttered and baked to perfection.
We were hardened, but not numbed
Hardened as a result of your hearts and cold, white; souls
like ice
You make the world lean against your privileges and rights only you seem to enjoy
And what's more?
You are the stones, stones that bleed.
Or maybe not
So dont sigh queen
Let your melanin sing
Let your melanin sing songs of praise
to the Most High
Let your voices be heard kings
That stones,
Stones don't bleed
But they do. Just like us.
