Ram was sitting outside his main building with his friends. He was quietly observing King who was in his gang nearby.
All of a sudden King disappeared. Ram didn't know where he'd gone but it pained him. Last few days he always came to say hi before leaving. Not today, he guessed.
But he guessed wrong. King did indeed have some important business to attend to behind the school but he soon returned.
And when he did he was sad to find Ram's friend group without him. "He saw you were gone so he went to his dorm. He seemed... I don't know, sad?"
King found those words interesting but didn't take them seriously enough to actually go check on the cool boy.
He came to regret that the next day. After school he went to juniors' table outside but Ram wasn't there.
He left sooner. "If P' doesn't care about me then I also don't care," he thought to himself and went straight to his dorm after his lessons finished.
Today though, King noticed something was off. He said goodbye to his own friends, than took care of something behind the school and finally headed to the junior's dorm room.
In the room
Ram was angry at himself for escaping from school. He was sure King would be confused and would probably try to reach him somehow. That he'll actually be forced to explain why he left. Which he doesn't know. Not really.
In the middle of his thinking Ram heard a knock on the door. He went to open it and found King standing outside. "P'..." He said as he moved away so King could enter the room.
The older sat on the sofa and looked at his junior. "So... What's going on? I haven't seen you for two days now?" Ram was slightly confused, he was pretty sure he only escaped today, not understanding what he meant with 'two days'.
King saw Ram's troubled face so he gave him few more minutes for him to think of an answer.
"Well... I don't know what you mean by two days. Yesterday you left before me. So today I left because I thought you've found something to do after school each day."
He stopped talking and looked at his senior. King was mad at himself but on the outside he seemed cool and calm as always. He spoke softly.
"I did find something to do. But it doesn't matter since it takes only about 5 minutes. And I always return to the tables. So, please. Don't run away from me again?"
"Run away!? I wasn't..." Ram almost yelled but got embarrassed by his own voice and blushed. King was amused by that so he smiled softly but didn't comment on it.
"Shall we go eat so you feel better?" The senior offered and Ram objected at first: "I feel alright... No need to lighten my mood." "Well in that case you'll pay your own food. But you're still coming with me."
Ram agreed and they made their way to their favourite noodle place.
In the evening
Ram was lying on his bed and thinking.
Why did he care so much about whether or not his senior cared about him? He was just a friend. And Ram never cared if someone cares for him or not. He usually saw it when he needed someone and everybody was always there to help him. Other than that, he never put much thought into it.
Until now apparently. Cause he sure was thinking about P'King too much. Does he care? Does he not? Does he acknowledge their relationship as friends? Brothers?
Those thoughts haunted him for half the night and only when they left he was able to fall asleep.
On the other end of the campus King was having similair problems. He couldn't sleep. Thoughts about the cold junior didn't leave him alone.
Why did he speak with almost resent? Why didn't he look him in the eye. Why was he avoiding him? So many questions that remain unanswered...

I took a different approach writing this story. It's not in POVs and also the chapters aren't tittled. I hope you like it tho😊😉
