Hi everyone! My name's Izuku Midoriya, but you can call me Deku. I hated the name in Junior High, but as first years me and Kacchan have been good friends!
"It's finally summer!" I scream out walking to the dorms next to Kacchan and Kirishima. "Quit yelling, nerd!" Kacchan snarls at me then smiles bc Kirishima grabs his hand. "You guys up for going to the pool tomorrow? Denki got the pool reserved just for us and Shinsou since he's gonna be in our class next year." "Sure!" I said smiling. I mostly hang out with Kacchan and Kirishima outside of school since we dont live too far from each other before the dorms. But in school, I'm always with Ochaco and Iida. Kacchan of course always knew this but Iida is the only one in our class that knows that I'm gay.
"Midoriya!" I hear Iida call from behind me. "Oh hi Iida, are you coming to the pool tomorrow too?" "Mhm! And I also invited a special someone" He winks at me. "Don't tell me that-" I cut myself off covering my face in my hands to hide my blush. "That's right, so wear something nice" he pats my shoulder and goes inside. I go inside after him and run straight to my room to find some trunks that dont have All Might on them. I totally wasnt gonna wear All Might trunks to the pool even if Todoroki wasn't going. (Bullshit! Lmao!) (Don't judge me, Psycho!)
After searching for hours I get a text message from Kacchan.
Kacchan: Oi do you need trunks?
Deku: How'd you know? 🤦🏽♀️
Kacchan: Two reasons. You haven't left your room in hours and I dont have any either. Me and Shitty Hair are going shopping, you coming?
Deku: Yeah might as well.
I put my phone in my pocket and meet Kacchan and Kirishima outside
Time skip bc I'm lazy and dont feel like typing a whole shopping trip
I found some black ones that match Kacchan's. Kirishima got some red ones, obviously. We get back to the dorms and I help Kacchan with dinner for the night. "Have you told him?" He says suddenly. "I-I don't know what you're talking about" I blush lightly. "You cant fool me, Deku. You can't bitch out forever. Come eat, Dorks!" He calls everyone to the table and I think about it what he said all throughout the night. What if he doesn't like me back...? What if he laughs at me...? What if he thinks I'm crazy for even thinking I had a shot...? What if he's dating Momo...? I can't compete with that! My mind races all night long until I finally fall asleep.
The next day everyone's up bright and early and ready to head out to the pool. Over their swimsuits, everyone's wearing our gym clothes because, why not? I walk with Kacchan and Kirishima then I look behind and notice that Iida and Ochaco are walking Todoroki! Oh crap oh crap oh crap! Ochaco points to me and I quickly turn around blushing. "You alright man?" Kirishima asks. Kacchan speaks up for me. "He likes Icy-Hot." "Kacchan!" My face turns even more red.
At the pool we decided to race using our quirks. In the finals it was me, Kacchan, (obviously) and Todoroki. He looked so good in his blue trunks, I swear I could've drooled. I probably did. I hope not. The race starts and for some reason we all fall face first into the pool. "Times up!" Mr. Aizawa used his quirk on us! He can be really mean sometimes. DON'T TELL HIM I SAID THAT!
As we walk back to the dorms, I'm sweating bullets! I'm trying to fan myself with my hand to cool off. Next thing I know, Todoroki is walking next to me. What do i do, what do i do?! He breathes out sharply and lightly grabs my hand cooling me down. I blushed deeply. "You seemed hot. Wouldn't want you to get a heat stroke." "Y-yeah t-thank you". I nod and lightly squeeze his hand. "Iida said there was something you wanted to tell me." Dammit Iida! I'm going to Detroit Smash you in your face! "Uh y-yeah." I muster up some kind of courage and ask "Are you and Momo dating?" He laughs at my question "No, actually. However I do have a crush on someone but I'm not sure if he's into me." His face starts to get bright red. "I'm sure he is, you're a really nice guy and good looking too" My heart sank a little bit.
So he already likes someone...
