The Manager and the Waitress

The Interview

The ongoing struggles were continuing to take their effects on Teri. She was really fed up by this point as she goes to play with Milo for a while out in the garden as it's a nice day and she's fed up sitting inside as she picks up his ball her phone rings. So she throws Milo's ball as she answers and says " hello " as it came up with a private number. 

 "Hello is that Theresa Harris?"
 " It is "
 "Perfect. Its Jeremy Summers from the diner, I'm the manager and I received a copy of your resume off Jamie who took your resume. I'm delighted to tell you that you've been invited for an interview"
 " Really wow thank you"
 "Wednesday at 1pm if you can manage?"
 " I can definitely manage that "
 "Perfect. Just bring your birth certificate and a copy of your resume"" I will do" "Perfect we'll see you on Wednesday at 1pm"
 " See you then"
 "Thanks for your confirming your attendance"
 "Thanks so much for the invite"
 "No problem see you on Wednesday"
 " See you Wednesday " she says as he hangs up and is happy that she got the interview and started to get really nervous for it. But playing with Milo in the garden takes her mind off soon her mum will hear about the interview when she's home but while she waits Teri decides to look for her suit in her wardrobe so she heads upstairs with Milo following her as always as she goes to look and determine what she wants to wear for her interview as she wants to make the best impression that she possibly can. The nerves come to her instantly after she picks it out as she's really nervous about it as she sees it as her shot at glory which is long overdue.

After she picks out her clothes she goes out for a walk with Milo feeling alot happier but is still feeling really nervous about Wednesday. Teri can't wait to tell her Mum later on that she got the interview as she walks with Milo. Walking with him seems to be getting rid of some of the nerves for her especially as it still hasn't sunk in for her. It's her first interview in ages after a load of bad luck and no responses. Her knowing it is making her even more nervous as she thought about it and it was making her all the more determined to make this her shot at glory. The glory is all she needs but she knows it won't be easy to achieve as she walked with Milo. Trying to ignore the nerves is not an easy thing for her. Especially as he felt like she really messed up her previous interview and had become her own worst enemy as a result but she was determined not to mess up this one and put the demons to rest.

 Teri was feeling a lot happier than she felt in ages after getting the phone call from the diner. Even though she feels nervous she has a good feeling about it for giving an example of a time she worked under pressure and how she dealt with it which is good for the job as she knows it can get busy at times. She still has a positive relationship with her old boss and knows that she will get a good reference from her which she hopes will further boost her chances which is good for her and it gives her a little positivity which is good for her after what feels like the first time in forever and she loves it. Soon she is back home with Milo and sees that her Mum has texted her to ask if she's heard anything. She texts back saying she has and has some good news and will tell her when she is home and can't wait for it. Her Mum says that she's looking forward to hearing about it when she's home as she likes the sound of the news Teri has in store for her when she's home tonight.

 A few hours later she's home and she heads in to the house. Teri goes downstairs to see her and Milo follows as she sees them she says
 " What's the news"
 "I've got an interview on Wednesday"
 " That's awesome "
 "At 1pm"
 " That's amazing I told you "
 "You did. I got the call earlier when I was playing with Milo in the garden"
 " Im happy for you"
 "I'm happy too but at the same time I'm really nervous"
 " You will be fine"
 "I hope so but this is my shot at glory"
 " Really is "
"That's making me more nervous"
 " They will love you "
 "I really hope so" 
"You're a bubbly hard working person make sure that comes across"
 "I definitely plan to and I'm good at working in a team too. Look at all the times I came home after a ton of pressure on me and all I wanted to do was relax"
" I remember you will be fine "
 "Hopefully so and I've got all those times when I was under pressure to mention in the interview"
 " You have who called you"
 "The manager"
 " Nice one" 
 "Made the arrangements with him and went out with Milo"
 "Awesome"
 "First one in God knows how long"
 " It will be fine "
 "Hope so"
 "It will be "
 "Hopefully"
 "Just be yourself"
 "I always do"
" I know"
 "Just have to"
 " Really do "
"And I can" she says as they get dinner ready and feed Milo as her mum smiles about her having the interview on Wednesday as she is happy for her about it.
