Having fake friends? I did not wish to have those but to save me from this people with disgusting behavior, I agreed on being friends with them. Who are they? Of course, the popular. If you are not popular in this school, you are going to live in hell for six years. I am a coward. I know. Coward for picking fake friends to be my friends because I am scared to be down by them. I am scared that I will be judged.
“Earth to Avery?” my friend, oh I mean, my fake friend, Aimee, snapped me out. “Oh. Uhm, I am sorry. Just thinking about what design should I put on my project. Can you guys give me ideas?” I asked them. Nice lie, Avery. “Oh! I saw this on tumblr last night. Do you know Aztec?” Darcy, the leader of the popular, paused to ask me. Of course, who the hell doesn’t know what Aztec is? I nod at her as my response. “Well, you should use that as a design for your project. Please use pastel color because that’s our theme this week,” she demanded. Darcy gets all the things she wants. In short, she is a spoiled brat.
“Oh look Darcy, its Hayley,” Barbara, Darcy’s assistant, pointed to Hayley. Hayley is one of the students who are always bullied and judged. I really don’t know why they bully her. I mean, she is so beautiful. Her beauty is so natural unlike these girls who are like Barbie’s. Everything is so fake and they even demand to have true men in their life. Like seriously, they are so fake. Barbara and Darcy were about to stand up but I stopped them, “Don’t even try. I overheard this from the teachers a while ago that Mr. Teasdale may roam around the school on lunch break. I don’t want to commit another offense it may affect my grades.” I stopped them. I am sure I heard the teachers that Mr. Teasdale, our school principal, will roam around on lunch break. I do not want my grades to be affected. Especially this year, it is almost our graduation. I want to pass in Colorado University. It is my dream school. “Right, girls. Calm your asses,” Aimee said, supporting me. “Right. Let it pass,” I said. The girls let out a deep sigh then sat down and continue doing what they’re doing.

The school bell rings meaning it is already dismissal time. The students scream at the top of their voices because it is Friday. Well to me Friday is one of my worst days in a week because I am going to hang out with this fake girls. I wait for all of them to go out so I can lessen the time where I am with the Barbie’s. Two more months, Avery and you’ll be free from this Barbie’s.
When all of the people from the room walk out, I collect all of my things slowly. After that, I walk out of the room, slowly. I spot them in front of my locker then I sigh. A deep sigh because gosh I don’t like this. I put my fake smile on because they deserve every fake details from me.
“So, Avery, we’re going to have sleepover in my house today. We need a complete attendance. I need a picture to post on Instagram today,” Darcy said, all of her attention on her twinkling nails. Of course, if she is popular on school, she should be popular on social medias too. How immature. “Sure. I’ll just drop my things at home then I’ll go straight to your house,” I said, opening my locker to get all of my books.
After having small talks about the sleep over, I left the school and walk straight home. I gathered all the things I need for the sleep over and stuffed it inside my duffel bag. I checked my room if I forgot anything then I closed it. I bid my family a good-bye and went straight to Darcy’s house.
When I got there, I saw them wearing a crop top and mini skirt. In short, they’re wearing their ‘oh-so-liberated’ clothes. They should’ve just wrapped a towel around them. “Seriously Avery, what are you wearing?” Aimee asked me, looking at me from top to toe. ‘Well obviously I’m wearing a loose shirt from my brother and a sweatpants’ I wanted to scream that to her but nah. “What? I didn’t know that we will be wearing those clothes for today,” I shrugged my shoulders. “Whatever. Just change into something decent.” Darcy said then they walked inside Darcy’s house. Before I went in, I stomped my feet on the ground then messed my hair. “Hey, you okay?” someone asked me. I jumped up because I got surprised. I turned around and saw Hayley, yes Hayley the bullied, smiling at me while holding her phone. “Y-yeah,” I stuttered. “Owwkay,” she said, her face full of question. After that, she walked off to where she was going.
