—Zach

I walked shakily along the school corridor, dreading the Chinese writing exam that will take place in five minutes.

I opened the classroom doorknob and sat next to Corbyn, my course mate and crush.

—Corbyn

'You seem nervous,' I said to Zach. His face is pale as sheet of paper, with sweat dripping down his forehead and neck, and his limbs are shaking as if an earthquake is happening.

I know I shouldn't, but why do I find him cuter when he's about to break down?

'Class please pass down the question paper and answer booklet, you have one hour to finish the exam, and your time starts now,' the teacher announced.

—Zach

We haven't even got the papers yet and the timer has started, great.

I got the question paper and answer booklet, and started to look at the obscure characters on the sheet.

With my shaky hands I got hold of my pen and started to write, but unfortunately a gust of wind blew my question paper away.

'Great,' I mumbled.

'No talking Zachary,你係咪想肥佬吖?(translation: do you want me to fail you?)' the teacher said.

I jumped back to my seat, thinking to myself, I might as well write my name first, before looking for the question.

Then my mind went blank.

My anxiety has built up to a level that I forgot how to write my Chinese translated name.

I felt my palms getting sweaty, my chest is starting to hurt, and my vision starting to blur.

THUD

I turn to my left, seeing Zach fell from his chair.

'Miss...' I raised my hand trying to get her attention.

'你再講嘢就炒左你,望返自己份卷(translation: another word from you and you're going to fail, keep your eyes on your own paper)' the teacher said with her eyes still glued to her book.

'Ha, he's gonna get a D,' I heard Jonah smirk from his seat.

I promptly got out of my seat and kneeled to hold Zach up.

'Hey bud, can you hear me? Are you having a panic attack?'

'...need... water,' Zach replied coarsely.

I grabbed his bottle from his table and gave it to him. I also handed him a lemon mint from my pocket.

'Hope this helps replenish your blood sugar levels,'

'Thanks,' his eyes start to gain conscience, but his body is still slightly quivering.

I held him tighter into my embrace, looking into his pale face and brown eyes.

'Listen to me, it is normal to fail a test here and there, life is not just about exams,' I said while stroking his forearm trying to calm him down.

'It's about finding the people you love,' he replied.

—Zach

I went in and gave him a kiss on the lips.

I start to panic again, why did I just do that?

'It's okay, I like you too,' Corbyn chucked and returned the kiss.

'Now let's get you up and finish this exam,' he said with a bright smile on his face.
