᠆᠆᠆᠆᠆᠆᠆ "I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes"
Jenny Joyce, alongside her small army of other prefects, all stood upon the stage in the main hall singing an acapella rendition of Love Is All Around while the rest of the students stood and watched in second-hand embarrassment and horror. The last thing anybody needed last thing in the afternoon was an off-pitch and, frankly, quite terrible song in an attempt to 'raise spirits' before they went home.
Though, Orla seemed to be having the time of her life as she nodded along to the music, a wide smile strung across her face.
"Sweet Jesus.." Michelle muttered, shaking her head with a look of disgust. Robyn simply nodded in agreement, taking in a deep sigh.
Shaking her head as well, the blonde couldn't help but allow her brows to furrow in confusion. "Is it some kind of torture? Do you think she's being forced to do it?"
"Catch yourself on, as if Jenny fuckin' Joyce wouldn't jump at the chance to make our eardrums bleed" Her friend scoffed before crossing her arms across her chest.
As Jenny finished the song, attempting to outshine the rest of the girls on stage with her shaky vocals, Sister Michael thankfully stood up and put an end to it.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Robyn gently rubbed the temples of her head. That song was enough to give her a blinding headache. As if having a full day of lessons wasn't already bad.
"Uh, wonderful girls. Lovely stuff." The nun spoke as she stepped to the front of the stage.
Orla was the one person that could be heard clapping, but Erin quickly grabbed her arms and pulled them back down to her sides.
"Now, before I dismiss you for the weekend, few announcements." Sister Michael announced, with Michelle bouncing off of the balls of her feet in annoyance. "On Monday morning, several of our year thirteens will face their GCSE maths resit."
Once again, Michelle was causing a minor scene by throwing her head back and letting out a low groan. Robyn simply nudged her gently, as if to tell her to shut up, which she soon did.
"I know how daunting resit examinations can be, so if anyone is feeling anxious or worried or even if you just want a chat.." Sister Michael's voice seemed calm, even understanding to an extent. "please, please do not come crying to me.. let me see what else.."
"Come on, come on, come on to fuck!" Michelle urged, still absolutely bursting to get out of the assembly as soon as possible.
"Notice from Mr Macaulay. This years destination for the Euro Trotters trip will be, dramatic pause.." Sister Michael then turned back to the teacher, raising an eyebrow at him. "Did you actually want me to do the dramatic pause?" She questioned, receiving a nod as a reply. "Interesting. Paris, it's going to be Paris"
The second that word left her lips, everyone's face seemed to light up. Robyn quickly turned to Michelle with a wide grin, which she returned.
"If you need any further information, there is a stall in the foyer. Sadly, I am unable to come on this one.. as I despise the French." Sister Michael soon finished, conducting the small prayer and then allowing everyone to leave the hall.

Making their way down the hallway, the girls, plus James, were still in absolute excitement about the trip to Paris. Seeing as half of them had never left Ireland before, it was such a thrilling thing to think about.
