Black Lives Matter

Hey everyone. This isn't going to be exactly the most family friendly post, but I strongly reccomend that you continue reading. I'm just going to get right into it because it is an extremely important topic that needs to be addressed. On the internet, a video was released of a 46 year old black man named George Floyd being pinned down by a white police officer in Minneapolis. The police officer was shown to be kneeling on the restricted man's neck, as George pleaded "I can't breathe", and "don't kill me". This lasted for approximately 8 minutes before George became unresponsive, and was claimed dead at the hospital a few hours later. Since then, the video has outraged many people to the start of protests against this act of racism. The police officer was only charged with third degree murder, which if you don't know what that is, basically it means that it was accidentally, though I find that to be complete bullshit. I am going to use my white privilege to its advantage and stand up for my black counterparts, in Justice for George and all of the other innocent black lives that have been taken for no valid reason, nor have their murderers been charged. This is racism everyone. As much as people can say it's not, it is. And it is such a huge thing that still exists and has been existing (more specifically in America) for centuries. And I see no reason to stay silent about it. I need my allies who support the BLM (Black Lives Matter) Movement to speak up and spread the word so that we can put an end to all of this racism and murder happening.
