I stood there speechless, trying to find the right meaning to his words. My glance fell on the rose gold ring on my finger. I narrowed my eyes and held the hand out in front of myself.

It was a delicate ring, it seemed to me that it was more precious than all the jewels in the whole world.

I came back to reality and looked at the person in front of me one more time.

-Why don't you tell me who you are?, -my voice trembled as I thought I already knew the answer.

He tugged on his bottom lip a few times before making a direct eye-contact with me.

-Can I hold your hand?, -he spoke, sadly smiling.

-I don't know the laws of dreams, or what's going on here, but if this is the only way to find out the answer to my question... - I said, coming closer to him.

Taking a deep breath, I reached out my hand to him. A little tear left his eye and and our hands touched as we continued keeping an eye contact. Every finger was pressed again one another as I noticed a light glow.

I was about to ask what it was but then I saw a white space in front of me. Everything disappeared and there was I, standing in shock.

A moment later I started seeing something. It looked like someone's memories. There were some girl and...

-Oh my god, -I spoke, trying to study the man's face.

It was him. The man from my dreams. Now I was seeing him with a girl, they looked so delighted and in love. I saw as they grew together, went to high school, then the person from my dreams kissed the girl. It took my breath away.

Feeling a slight tingling sensation on my lips, I touched them and then switched attention to other memories.

The realization started hitting me hard. The people from memories were dating for a long time. Enjoying every second together, they went on dates, traveled, taught each other new things and just adored the life.

And then I noticed a familiar place. It was the exact same garden I was at a few minutes ago with that man. Somehow, this memory didn't look bright as others. It was dark, sorrowful.

*memory*(author's POV)

-I love you, - he spoke to her, -the most in this world.

She nervously gulped and took his hands in hers.

-I feel like this is our last meeting, I think they will figure out any second that I'm a spy, -he said and her eyes filled with tears.

The young man was the heir of a wealthy family that worked as secret spies. Helping to investigate the evil actions of one of the country's largest corporations, his parents died on a mission. He was a little child left with a grandmother, who raised him well. He knew that he was not destined to live an ordinary life. But when she entered his modest world, bringing all the charms of simple and sincere relationships between people - there was no going back.

-Be careful, Y/N, -he started giving instructions.

She sobbed and tried to stay calm, even though the heart beating was telling otherwise.

-No, -she screamed and let her emotions took over her mind, -I won't let you go!, -she exclaimed while black mascara was running down her rosy cheeks.

Without any words being spoken, he held her body tightly against his, stroking her hair and inhaling her lovely scent. He knew this would be the last time he would see his precious girl. His heart was breaking into little pieces, without a chance of recovery.

Only God knows how strong the waterfall of lovers ' tears was at that last meeting at the altar. Knowing that everything is coming to an end, they decided to secretly tie the knot, without prying eyes. After spending the entire life together, it's incredibly hard to let go. Purely impossible. Physically, it would have happened anyway, but deep down, no one would ever let the other go.

-Do you really believe this is it?, -she asked looking with puppy eyes in his chocolate ones.

The tension was unspeakable. Every part of their bodies couldn't believe that it was their dead end. But they still had faith in the best, even though they were prepared for the worst.

He sighed and cupped her cheek, letting her feel the warmth of his hand one last time. She put her hand on his, not wanting to let go of him even for a moment.

-I have no idea what they are going to do with me, -he stated and paused to catch a breath, -but I will always love you.

He pierced her soul with the gaze as if trying to plant his confession in her heart forever.

-M-my w-winter bear, -the girl managed to pronounce, without taking her eyes off the beautiful face of her beloved.

-I promise you to carry our love through the centuries, Y/N, -he stated kissing the back of her hand.

*the end of the memory* (Y/N's POV)

The memories disappeared and I found myself covering my mouth from loud screams. The tears streamed down my face and breathing became ragged.

I was returned back to the person in the garden. His eyes were full of love and suffer. Suddenly, I felt like I was complete again. My head was spinning and I tried to stay still on the ground. At that moment, I remembered everything. A name, that was forever stored deep in my heart, a person's name, who was the love of my life, has left my mouth:

-Taehyung...
