i woke up in the middle of the night seeing anna laying next to me. i silently tried to get up and walk to the door. when i was out of the room i still had to be silent but i heard christian talk to (probably) his livestream so i could walk a little more normal. i walk down the stairs as every step creaks. i see a light coming out of the living room thinking it is for the dogs, kobe and coco. i arrive in the kitchen and switch on the light. i grab a glass and pour water in it.
"couldn't sleep?"
i jump up spilling my water i turn around and see daniel standing in the opening.
"oh, yeah i was thirsty, what about you?" i ask putting my hair behind my ear.
"just gaming, and then i always forget the time"
i listen to him while again pouring water in my glass.
"do you know how to play call of duty?"
"you have that?" i ask growing a smile on my face.
i used to play those games with my brother and my cousin when i was younger.
he walks me to the living room where his 'game spot' is. he also had one in his own room but this one had the tv as screen so it was way bigger.
he hands me the controller "show me then"
i grab the controller and take a seat on the couch. daniel sits next to me and i feel his eyes facing my way.
**after 2 hours of playing games and laughing with daniel**
"well hello night owls"
me and daniel both quickly turn around seeing christian standing on the staircase.
i give him a soft hi and see him looking at me and daniel.
i get awkward by the fact that he may think there is something between us. "i was actually just going to sleep" i say standing up walking past christian.
as soon as i'm behind christian i turn around and wave to daniel. daniel smiles and i continue walking to anna's room.
daniel's pov
"what was that about?"
"what was what about we were just gaming" i say feeling my cheeks heat up.
"she acted nervous when i was here, and before that i saw that you both were having fun"
"yeah we were, but don't think to much about it. the game was fun okay" i say turning the tv off and walking away.
**next morning**
y/n's pov
"morning bubs, you want some breakfast?" says anna making me getting more awake
"uhmm sure"
"okay be down in 10 minutes"
i look at her with a shocked face because i had just woken up. anna walks out of the room leaving me alone, i look at the ceiling thinking about yesterday, i know this family for 3 days or so and it already feels so safe. maybe i should slow it down but i'm really lonely here without them.
i hear voices coming from downstairs and i look at the clock seeing that my 10 minutes are almost over.
i want to get up but i roll over and close my eyes again.
"y/n!"
i jump up
"you fell asleep again?"
i look at the clock again to see that another 10 minutes have past.
"omg i did.." i say getting out of bed, i scribble to the bedroom looking in the mirror.
i looked like a mess but i didn't care because i was already late.
"hey y/n"
"goodmorning y/n"
people say as i approach them.
"morning, sorry i'm late by the way, i accidentally fell asleep again"
"oh we don't mind, daniel is also still in bed"
keri response to me.
i give her a smile and start eating my little pancakes.
after a few minutes i hear footsteps walking down the stairs, i look up and see messy-haired daniel coming in our direction.
"morning guys, morning y/n" his cracky voice says
he sits down and also grabs some pancakes.
after we finish our breakfast i walk upstairs again to get dressed, keri was bringing me back to my apartment.
**in the car**
k-"so i hope you had a great time"
y-"oh i definitely did, don't worry about that"
k-"hahaha okay. you know my family seems to really like you so we would for sure not mind if you'd come over more often"
y-"if that's alright with you i for sure will! i just don't know when i have to go back to the netherlands"
k-"you didn't buy a ticket yet?"
y-"no, i didn't know how hard it would be to, you know, be at corey's. so i decided to book an outward ticket but not but not a ticket to return back home"
k-"take your time, and if you wanna go home than you can right?"
y-"yeahh"
