"That movie was absolutely phenomenal. I would love to watch it again, that's how good it was." Haleigh says as we turn the corner towards our dorm room.

"She doesn't say that about many movies," Chandler says as he leans against the door frame, eyes on her as she opens the door.

"I'm hungry. I think we should order from Chinese." Haleigh throws her purse onto her bed. "I'll call and I'll see if they'll deliver to campus."

"Haleigh, we ate before the movie." Chandler kindly reminds her as Rocky sets his stuff on the counter. It was nothing serious, but ever since I started holding his hand at the movies, he's been acting really weird. The movie was of a funny horror genre, so I wasn't expecting the scares that came with the whole experience.

"Look, I want some rangoons. That's all I'm ordering, Mr. Riggs."

Chandler simply rolls his eyes as Haleigh dials the number to the place. I move over to Rocky, watching his body language. I maybe going into schooling to be a teacher, but I can tell when somethings off with one of my favorite people in the world. I rest my hand on his arm, making him look down. I don't say anything, but he can tell by the look in my eyes that I want to talk. He leads the way towards my bedroom as Chandler hugs Haleigh.

"Alright, what's going on Rocky?" I ask as I latch the door quietly behind me.  He's silent for a moment before he looks at me.

"How's classes been going? How are you and Gus?" Rocky asks simply as he avoids my eyes.

"Rocky, I'm not answering those questions until you tell me what's going on? Look, if I made you uncomfortable during the movie when I held your hand, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that."

"You don't realize it, do you?" Rocky asks, not daring to elaborate on his plain sentence.

"Rocky, what are you-"

"The last time you talked to Gus you heard a girl. Chandler told me that. He also told me something that we both swore not to tell you anything about. Frankly, I would tell you just so you know. However, Chandler asked me to respect Bro Code and I'm not saying anything. Just be weary of Gus. I'm not sure if he'd jump at the measure when Thanksgiving break comes up to fly to see you. I wouldn't make any promises to him either. I think there's more going on here then you know. I'm just trying to protect you. I just don't want it to be like Krystal all over again."

My heart stops, "It's only been a week since I've seen him and the first thing your mind goes to, is that he's potentially cheating on me already? He wouldn't do that and plus, it's been years since Krystal. I'm sure he knows better."

"Makenna, I'm not even sure why you took him back after Krystal. If I remember correctly, your relationship has been far from perfect with Gus and the last thing I want is for things to end badly and for all of the relationships that you made with his family, suddenly disappear because you hate him and he hates you." Rocky says before resting his arm on my shoulder. "I don't want anything to happen to you and I'm afraid of what might happen if something Gus does upsets you."

I let the words Rocky has said over the last five minutes simmer. He was already accusing Gus of potentially cheating on me and with Bro Code being used, I know that something isn't right. Chandler must know something and Rocky now does as well. Before I can say anything, I hear Chandler and Haleigh bickering back and forth.

"He did what?! Chandler, you need to tell her! Gus doesn't-"

"Babe, let's talk about this later." Chandler says before kissing Haleigh, I can assume. She went entirely quiet and remained quiet. I look up at Rocky and there is apart of me that knows he is watching out for me, but what for? I'm just a teenager who happens to be his best friend.
