One week after prom, I was just reading my book at the backyard when suddenly I hear the door open.

"Hey, Y/N" he said.

"Oh, hey Marcel! I was just finishing my book! What's up?" I reply.

He sat beside me and told me to close my eyes. I did what he told me to do and closed my eyes. He knelt down and opened a box with a ring in it.

"Open your eyes"

I opened my eyes and put my hand over my mouth as I couldn't say anything.

"Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?" he said.

"Yes! I will!" I said, holding in my tears, and wore the promise ring.

He stood up holding my hand, and so did I. "Y/N, I give you this promise ring because, I love you. So, so much. I hope you and I will never break this promise." he said.

"I promise I won't break it." I said and pulled him in for a kiss.
