After that encounter, Angelo had been less inclined to speak up as he began to check over his shoulder before opening his mouth in class or other public spaces, worried others may express similar views. "I hope you don't take what Walter said to heart," Elise told her friend as the group were walking to class one day.

"Of course not." Though his words said one thing, Angelo's face said another as he turned away from his friends, hiding the frown on his lips.

"Good," Mara began, knowing that she didn't believe her friend for a moment. "Because he's just hateful and people like that don't deserve to be listened to."

"Like I said, I'm fine," Angelo stated, turning to face his friends. While his face showed evident hurt, his words were harsh enough to show he didn't want to talk about it further.

"Alright," Elise told the boy as they turned to enter into their charms class where a young Professor Flitwick was standing at the front of the classroom. What stopped the three Ravenclaws in their tracks was the fact that Professor Flitwick was not alone. There he was surrounded by Ravenclaws and Gryffindors a year younger than themselves.

"Hello class," the head of Ravenclaw's house began. "I have decided that today would be a combined lesson where you are to help the younger class in previous charms you have already learned so that they can learn with a more hands-on experience and you can further your knowledge on the charm by teaching it to another student," Professor Flitwick further explained.

Mara looked between both Angelo and Elise before shrugging and taking her seat near the back of the classroom, followed by her friends.

"I have already posted the pairings. Today's lesson will be on protego duo. I expect that no trouble will come from this," and with that, Professor Flitwick exited the classroom, exptecting the NEWT level students to figure it out on their own.

"Looks like we sat down for nothing," Angelo commented before the trio stood up to make their way towards the list posted at the front of the classroom.

As they made their way up, Sirius cut in front of Mara, saying, "looks like you're my teacher for today." The smirk could be seen from another country as he was very much glad at these turn of events.

Mara straightened herself out before saying, "alright then Black, but don't expect that I'll go easy on you."

The Ravenclaw was expecting to wipe the smirk off his face but instead he only grinned wider, thinking of all the sexual innuendos he could get away with before feeling Mara's wrath. "Wouldn't dream of it."

The brunette raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything as she whipped out her wand and pointed it at him. The Gryffindor jumped, not expecting her to jump into the lesson straight away. "Come on Black, get your wand out." He did as he was told, grabbing ahold of his wand and lazily pointing it at the girl, still with a grin on his face. "Come on Black, you think death eaters will give you a warning when they're attacking?" Mara questioned before shooting a spell his way.

Sirius' eyes widened as he shot back another spell, but it wasn't the spell they were told to practice. "No, you've got to practice protego duo otherwise you'll learn nothing Black," Mara argued as she shot another spell his way. Sirius seemed to freeze as birds flocked his way, pecking at his face. Mara sighed as she saw the boy frozen in place as a crow sat on his shoulder. "Do you even know the wand movement for the charm?" Mara asked.

After a moment the boy shook his head. "I thought you were already taught it last week," Mara mentioned, knowing that Stevie said something about learning the same charm they were currently practicing.

"It seems as though Flitwick trigger's my need to go unconsious," Sirius joked as he began to play with the wand in his hand.

"Alright, here let me show you," Mara told the boy before she began to demonstrate the correct way to be most effective. After showing it three times, Mara stopped and once again aimed her wand at the boy. "Now you should be able to try it." And with that the girl cast another spell.

This time it was a cleaning spell that Sirius was unable to block in time. Mara laughed as his unkept robes were cleaned and neatly tightened, forcing the loose tie to be adjusted.

"Was that really necessary?" He asked as the Gryffindor proceeded to loosen his tie once more.

"Would you rather I shoot fire your way?" Mara questioned as she lazily held her wand.

"Nope, that's fine."

It took a few more tries and a few different hair colors but Sirius finally nailed the charm, keeping Mara from changing his hair to a highlighter yellow. "Ha!" He yelled once finally casting the spell correctly. At that point his hair was a royal blue and his smell was that of irises.

"Took you long enough," the older Ravenclaw joked as she stretched her arms, barely giving the boy a second glance.

That was when Sirius began to walk towards her, wanting to make a move on the older girl. "So, now that I'm the master in the ways of protego duo, I think you see that I'm a master of many things," Sirius began, only causing Mara to laugh.

"Oh Black, you really are the jokester of your group," she began as the Ravenclaw laughed. If that weren't enough to dampen his spirits, the next few words out of her mouth sealed the deal, "no wonder my sister keeps saying you're like a little brother."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sirius questioned, now looking like a saddened puppy.

"Just that you act like our younger brother," Mara told the boy. This caused him to raise his eyebrow.

"I didn't know you had a brother," Sirius questioned. A look of despair crossed Mara's face and before she could respond, Professor Flitwick entered the classroom.

"Alright class, seems like this little lesson did fairly well. Hope you like your partners because every week or so I'll have us do a combined lesson and you get to stick with your partners."
