I woke up with a start. My phone was buzzing. It was my mum. I had fallen asleep and it was already the next day. Wow. I didn't answer my phone, but I didn't decline the call - or she would suspect something. I would just say that I was asleep. I got out of bed. I looked at Cod, and he had eaten a whole bag of dog food and had fallen asleep with some in his mouth. He was HUGE! He looked as if he was a real wolf. Suddenly I had a great idea. He woke up and stood up. He bumped his head on the roof of the shack. He was as big as a horse. I sat down and started adding something to my drawing of him. I added some details that made the drawing look more like him now. After I did that, I drew a saddle on him. Then I started a new sketch and designed a saddle for him. Once I finished I started making the saddle. My father had taught me how to build, design, draw, and create.
Cod growled impatiently. "Ok, ok partner. I'm nearly done. I'll go to the run-down store and get some more dog food." He barked happily and danced around, shaking the whole shack. He jumped up and his head went straight through the roof. He whimpered and waved his paws around frantically. "Cod! Oh, you silly lad. We better get that fixed and make the roof higher - but for now, let's get you out!" I chuckled.
This had been the worst public-free-two-days and the best public-free-two-days. I couldn't believe I had a dog like this. At first, I was scared of dogs, and then, I was designing a saddle for my dog to ride him. I have no friends, other than cod, and I was alone hiding from the world in an abandoned shack in the middle of the forest. How did I get into this mess? It was like in the movies. I couldn't believe it. I kind of wanted to just draw. I also wanted to scream into my pillow. And I also wanted some food.
