"Stop you fucking idiot. Come here or else I will kill you if I catch you. " I shouted at Veer who run away after pushing me from the bicycle deliberately.
He shouted, "Catch me if you can."
He laughed hysterically standing in the middle of the road. I was so angry with him. suddenly I saw a car came towards him. My eyes widened. I shouted, "Move aside , move aside."
He looked at me in a confusion.
I again shouted at him, "Look back you moron, step aside."
I couldn't run because my back was hurting terribly. As the car came nearer I was so afraid that I began to cry and continuously telling him to move aside. At a time he looked back , but it was too late the car hit him. He rolled on the road. I began to cry more. Fortunately a girl came out from the car and pick him up into her car. Veer was in his sense then. Then I don't know what happened because I passed out on the road.
Later when I woke up I found myself in a hospital bed. I looked around and my father came. Seeing me he asked, "How are you feeling now?"
"I am fine pa. But tell me about Veer. How is he dong now? Is he alright?"
"Calm down, he is fine. But your leg...."
"What? What happened to my leg?"
Pa remained silent. Not getting an answer from him I looked under the quilt and saw that my leg is broken and it is plastered. I laughed and said, "Don't worry pa it's fine. It's normal for basketball players like me. My leg would be fine."
"But..."
"No but... dad I a fine. Just give me update about that bastard." I cut him.
When I was in hospital Veer never came to see me. Even dad didn't know where is he.
After some days I was discharged. My leg didn't recover yet, so I had to sit on a wheelchair.
One day I was sitting in the balcony alone. Pa went to hospital to bring my medical reports.But little did I know that the reports will change my life forever.
