It was now quiet, everyone was in different spots and moods. Jane was near Patterson as they worked on the computers—though, Patterson worked more intensely than Jane did—Tasha wasn't in the sight, and Rich had been merely in the main room with Jane and Patterson, too, but left in urgency, seemingly searching for something from upstairs.
And Kurt was supposed to be having a rest, sorely, or maybe he was just pondering on Bethany's drawing.

Jane heard footsteps coming towards her, it must be Rich coming back, she assumed.
But when he approached with the familiar touch upon her shoulders, then, with the familiar voice he whispered something in her ear, at that instant, she flinched. Everything felt too familiar to be Rich.
And before she could ask What or Why?, Kurt was walking farther, heading back upstairs, where he'd appeared from.
Well, technically, she'd heard what kurt had whispered in her ear. But why? she didn't really know as to why.
Her head was turned over her shoulder and she kept her gaze at kurt, walking all the way to upstairs, then he diminished with the first left corner.
She swallowed, and her stomach flattened at some possible thoughts.
Earlier, when she'd left him alone after he asked her to, he wasn't really in a good state.
But she'd let him to have some time alone. He'd seemed to have been needing that time alone to sort out things in his head. And she'd hoped so strongly that it would make him feel better afterwards. But if not, she would make him feel better herself, in any way possible.

No one seemed to notice—there was barely anyone—Patterson, though, seemed very into her computer that she couldn't have cared less of what'd just happened around her. And when Jane glanced back at her, she was mumbling to herself some coding related stuff, seemingly, nothing would or could stop her now, not even an earthquake would stop her fingers as they typed on the keyboard.

Jane pushed back her seat and made the way to where she'd been whispered.
Heading upstairs, Jane went to the storage room with the first left corner.
She held the knob and lowered it slowly to open the door.
She was worried as she did so—about kurt, about the idea of getting into the storage room, which was basically loaded with all kind of backups, guns and lots of stuff that only Patterson and Rich would understand their real purposes. and because they would only get there before missions, the vibe in there never felt pleasant—but when she finally pulled the door open then rested her eyes on kurt, standing against the wall with his arms being folded in front his chest, slightly smiling. And most obviously than anything else, he was waiting for her to appear.
She smiled nervously at him and shut the door behind her.
"Hey" he mumbled.
"Hey, are you alright?" she asked, closing the distance between them.
She seemed bewildered from his view, so firstly, he tried to reassure her with a touch.
He gripped her from the waist when she first was in his hands reach, leading her against a near shelf.

He trapped her, like this, surrounded her between two of his strong arms being pressed against the shelf in both sides, "Yah." he raised his eyebrows as he replied to her question, with the trace of sadness in his features returning back now, briefly after the slight smile.
She was so close now she could've hugged him or kissed him, but he seemed to wanting to talk any time soon, perhaps about something had been weighting on his shoulders, but he decided to get it out after the time he'd spent thinking alone.

"Why are we here?" she asked again, almost whispering, since he was close enough to hear her whispers.
She then gripped his sides in a loose hold.
He held his gaze on hers for a few more seconds, before he cleared his throt, "I just wanted to apologize, for that, if I ever seemed unbearable, or if I ever snapped or seemed too emotional to talk to. It is because I can't but think about Bethany. I have.....I've missed her and I.....she is there growing and understanding the world now, she can count days by now, and she will know how much is a week and then a month, but I am not beside her and it makes me....." he trails off, sighing, merely after half of the speech he'd intended to give. He squeezed his eyes, wanting so badly to gather his thoughts again into more understandable sentences.
But then, Jane figured the rest out and smiled at him, a warm smile, "Kurt, I have got you."
