(Y/n's POV)

*alarm goes off* "why does school have to be today?" *shuts off alarm* "ooo at least I get to make friends!"

~at the school~

"Bye sweetie see you later!" My mom says and I say "bye bye mommy!" I walk into the school and get directed to my class by a nice janitor person. As I walk in I see a few students and only a few cuz I'm early hehe, but one boy stands out than the rest, he has white and red hair with bandages on his left eye.

Im gonna go see him! He looks lonely and I don't know where my seat is so I can ask if he can help me.

"Hello I'm Y/n Suzuki, what's your name?" I ask and he looks up at me with almost no expression at all
"Uhh, I'm Shoto Todoroki but you can just call me shoto" "oh hi shoto, uhh since you know where the seating chart is can you help me?" I ask he stands up from his seat in the back and says "of course let's go see" I follow him to the front of the classroom and I look to see "oh cool, I sit next to you!" I smile, he half smiles "yeah cool" we go and sit in our seats and I turn towards him, "so shoto, what is your quirk?" I ask he turn to me "uhh, well on my left side I have fire and on my right side I have ice, what about you?" "Wow thats so cool! Oh and my quirks are Dark angel and Shadow puppetry" his eyes light up "like the Shadow hero Shadoll?!" I smile "yeah, he is my dad!" He smiles "wow that's so cool, my dad is endeavor but him and I don't have the best son and father relationship" he frowns so I say "do you want to talk about during recess?" He looks at me "sure but don't tell anyone ok?" He puts out his pinky for a pinky promise and I lock my pinky with his " I won't tell a soul!" We let go and he says "thank you, class is about to start so I say we pay attention so we don't get in trouble" "yeah I think so too"

~at recess~

We ask the teacher if we can go play on the woods and she says yes just be back here by the bell and we follow a path through the woods to a little river area and we sit down on a big clean rock by the river. "So about your dad?" I say and he looks down "ever since I got my quirk he has been training me everyday and to the point where I can't breathe" I hug him from the side "hey it's ok, what about the rest of your family?" He almost starts crying and he does start to cry but he spill EVERYTHING to me "my oldest brother Touya is in a government hero program and my sister is Fuyumi and she is 13, I have another older brother named Natsuo and he is 9 years old" he says and then he stops crying but is sad, very sad "my mom gave me this scar because of my dad driving her insane and now my mom is in a mental hospital" he burst out into tears again and says "s-she poured b-boiling hot water o-on my eye" for the next few minutes he is telling me how abusive and neglective his father is and I just want to smack that number 2 hero six feet underground.

~a few minutes later~

Sho stopped crying and we went back to the playground and played for a few minutes until this boy with brownish blonde hair comes up to us
"Haha look at these losers!" (It's not katsuki it's just another bully) "what do you want?" Shoto snaps at him and the boy says "oh I just want to have fun" he pushes me to the ground and I wince in pain "ohh is the little girl gonna cry?!" I get up and look him dead in the eyes and say "get out of my sight before I rip your head OFF!" Shoto was amazed at how I got a bully to go away in seconds my just looking him in the eye, "Y/n how did you do that?!" Shoto asks "oh well because of my dark angel quirk I can change my eyes to look like any type of eye I want to do I made it look demonic" I say and we get back to playing until the lunch bell rings.

~after school infront of the school~

Me and sho are waiting for out parents to pick us up when my mom comes and she kneels down to look at us. "He Y/n, you know shoto right?" "Yeah!" I say and she lookd relived "well shoto and his family are our neighbors so I'm brining you both home because shoto's dad is at work" "cool!" He smiles a bit "thanks" he says max my mom says "no problem"

~random time skip to the first day of middle school~

(Y/n's POV)
I miss sho, I haven't seen him all summer but today i finally get to see him
*walks into class room and see a few students then shoto and runs to him and hugs him* "hey sho I haven't see you all summer!" I say and pull away from the hug, "yeah I missed you!" He says and for some reason with no expression at all, "I missed you too!"

~another time skip this time to the entrance exam~
