Six skeletons and the vampire

Settling in

I closed the door behind me with my foot. I set my suitcases down on the floor and walked towards the living room. "Liz~" I called as I walked towards the couch. Just then a human with short brown hair with blue eyes tackled me to the ground she also wore glasses. "Y/N! It's so good to see you again! And now we're gonna live together!" She said while kissing the apples on my cheek. This short human was Lizzie, my best friend. We had known each other for about our whole life's. "Heh your still short like I remember,Liz" I chuckled, she pouted and helped me get up. Yup I was right she was still 4,6 while I was 5,7. I picked up the little bean and threw her over my shoulder "Y/N IM NOT THAT SHORT!!!!" She screeched while flailing her arms around "Hehehe, anyway about the house..."I walked over to couch and set her down "Did you buy it or...." she nodded and began to ramble on about the house and where we were. "So you're saying that we live next to a monster city?" "Yup! I even made some friends while staying here." She squealed as she walked towards the door to help me with my bags. After getting unpacked and putting all my stuff in the right place, Liz showed me my room. After that I just hung around in there, sometimes being a vampire could be annoying, I can't eat garlic bread, I have to be careful around wood, etc. if you thought I was gonna say the sun well then your wrong. I may be a vampire but I'm also 5% human so a little sun wouldn't hurt me. I threw off my clothes leaving me in my underwear, I had a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I hopped into my bed and went to sleep.

*Beep beep be-* I turned off my alarm clock and got out of bed today is the day I find a job to help Liz with the bills. I threw on I tank top and walked towards the kitchen were I found a plate of cinnamon rolls on the table. I tore my gaze away from the delicious cinnamon rolls and looked up. Liz was in the refrigerator looking for something, probably an apple or something quick to shove down her throat. She was very picky growing up so getting her to try something new wouldn't be easy. I took a seat at the table and started to eat my food, "You know Liz if you wanted help then you can always ask ya know..." I spoke, not taking my attention away from the food I was eating. My eating was then interrupted by a loud 'thump'. I looked over to Liz's direction and saw her on the floor next to the fridge with her glasses hanging on to her left ear. Her face grew red as she nervously laughed. I sighed and walked over to were she was laying. "H-hey Y/n...I was jus-st getting my self something to eat and...." she trailed off, I lifted the blushing Liz from the ground and made her stand. "Here's what's gonna happen, I'll make you something to eat, while you do that you get ready for work, and MAYBE after you finish eating I'll drive you to work..." she nodded at quickly headed towards what I think is bathroom. Sometimes I feel more like a mother then her friend. Oh well...

"Bye sweets! I'll see you later" I say to Liz as she gets out of my car while I continue to sit in my Jeep. It turns out that she was a Interior designer how had been working at this place for about 8-10 months. I soon later drove off while making a mental note to pick up Liz at around 7:25. I remember Liz saying that we live very close to a monster city. Maybe I could find a job there or something. I drove my way towards the city and sure enough when I came in there were monsters and humans everywhere (well mostly monsters but you get the idea) they were all talking with each other like nothing was wrong and to me that felt nice. But I had no time to waste, Imma find me a job and get me some MONEY! At least more of it. I saw a large mall and pulled into the parking lot. After that I got out of my car and headed inside and boy oh boy, saying that this mall was big was a understatement. This place had four floors, in which you would have to take a elevator to go to each one, but I was here to get a job not to look around. I walked around the mall for a little while and found nothing useful. Well there's always tomorrow I guess besides it's not like I'm going to college or anything I'm just living with my best friend. I just want my own money to spend. I walked back to my Jeep ,hopped in and drove off. I quickly glanced at my watch then continued to place my eyes on the road, 7:21, welp time flies by huh? I quickly drove over to Liz's workplace picked her up and drove the both of us back home.

I walked towards the couch and threw myself onto it. Today's mission to get a job: failed, we'll get 'em next time. I silently laughed at the little joke I made but also failed to notice Liz coming over to where I was sitting and sat right next to me. "Oh hey babes, what's up do ya need anything?" I asked turning my head towards her. She sighed and rubbed her arms, something she always did when she was uncomfortable about something. "Okay, So Y/n, do you remember how I mentioned that I made some other friends before you came here?" I nodded, I barely remember but yeah "Well those friends are coming over here....tonight....at 8. O'clock...." I was confused, did I do something wrong? What's up problems do these 'friends' have with me, or is it the other way around? "Well whats the problem with your new friends?" I asked, I didn't have a problem with her bringing over people, as long as she informs me about their presence I won't make a problem out of it. "The problem isn't about my friends..." she paused "it's about what they are..." I still wasn't catching on, what were here friends? "My new friends, are a part of the monster species..." ok? wait- ohhh I get it now, her friends are monsters,most likely from the monster city, and she probably thinks I have a problem with monsters "Listen Lizzie,I don't have anything against monsters, so I don't have a problem them being over here, yeah sure I'm a vampire and yeah sure they may think badly of me when they find out but I'm sure they'll get used to it..." I wrapped my arm around her shoulder as a relived sigh pours out of her mouth. "Thanks y/n, you always know what to do..." I chuckled as I got up from the couch. "Well ,I'll be in my room, call me if ya need me ..." I got up and walked towards my room, closed the door behind me, took out my phone, and started to listen to some music.

(Lizzie's pov)

I leaned into the couch and watched my best friend walk to her room. I don't know what I would do without her around. I sighed once again as I got up and and looked around the house. "I better start cleaning this place up, after all I am having guest over..." I say. I went into the kitchen got some cleaning supplies and started to clean...
