Chapter 5

Vanessa's POV

When we got to my apartment, Mads engulfed me into a tight hug. " What's this for?" I said laughing. "For everything. You saved me from that monster and you are just a really great friend." Mads said. We stood there a couple of minutes and it was amazing. I could smell her vanilla shampoo and her strawberry perfume. Then she pulled away and I felt cold from not having her touch. " How about we watch some Netflix?" I said smiling. She nodded her head and I made us some tea. I sat down on the couch and we decided to watch Love, Simon. About 30 minutes in the movie, Mads moved closer to me and laid her head on my chest. I put my arm around her waist in a protective way because I don't want her to ever get hurt again. I started rubbing my hand through her hair and she quickly fell asleep. She started snoring quietly and it was honestly the cutest thing ever. I soon fell asleep and we slept soundly.

Madelaine's POV

I woke up at 7 am and I realized that I had to shoot for Riverdale today. I tried standing up but I saw that Vanessa had her arm around my waist. I smiled a little bit and got up. I was in the bathroom fixing my hair and makeup when I heard footsteps. I then saw Vanessa come in to the bathroom and she said, " Wait, why are you getting ready?" " I have to go shoot today!"  I said excitedly. Her jaw dropped and she rushed out of the room to get ready. I laughed and continued getting ready. Once we were done getting ready, I grabbed my car keys and we left.

Once we got there, Vanessa pulled me into the
tightest hug ever. " Good luck. Love you, Mads." " Love you too Vanessa.But you do know you can stay behind the camera right?" I said laughing. We pulled away and went inside. After every scene, Vanessa gave me a hug. Also, Vanessa got to meet Cami, Lili, Kj, Cole, and Casey. We all agreed to hang out sometime. Once we were done we headed to Veggie Grill. When we got there, Nessa ordered our food and we sat down. She grabbed a hold of my hands and looked me in the eye. " I just want you to know how proud I am of you. Also, know that I will always be there for you." She said with a light smile. I smiled back and then our food came. We just had casual conversation and then when we got up to leave I saw on the TV how Travis got bailed out. I felt my knees buckle and I started to fall down. But then Nessa caught me and took me to the car. " Mads, what's wrong?" She said with tears in her eyes. " He g-got released." I said crying. Vanessa pulled me into a hug and I sobbed into the crook of her neck. After a couple minutes, I recollected myself and V said," How about we go home and watch movies until we fall asleep?" I nodded and we headed home. On the ride home, I noticed that we were holding hands. I blushed and got a nervous feeling in my stomach. Why though? I never get nervous around V. Huh weird. We got home and changed into our PJS. We laid down and turned on "IT" At one point I got really scared and jumped into Vanessa's arms. I didn't want to move. She has such a comforting touch and we eventually ended up falling asleep.
