Chapter 12

Ben's pov_________________

I woke up and went to go find Bella. I walked into her room for her not there. 

"Weird.." I say to myself when I go to Jane and Lonnie's room. 

I knock on the door "Ben, what's wrong?" Lonnie opened the door. 

"Is Bella here? she is not in her room" I asked hoping she is here.

"No, Ben we haven't seen her sense yesterday" Lonnie said.

I sign "Ok thanks" I said and we went to Mal and Evie's room. 

I walk in "Guy have you seen Bella?" I asked getting worried. 

"Nope" Evie said as she was making new clothes. 

"Why what's wrong?" Mal asked looking at me concerned. 

"I saw her crying yesterday and now I can't find her" I said getting worried. 

"Hang on let's not jump to conclusion just yet, let's ask around" Mal said and we went off. Evie said she will ask around too. 

"Hey have you seen Mal?" I asked Chad. 

"Nope. But Audrey broke up with me" he said sobbing. 

"Good for you" I said sarcastically and I walked away. 

"Hey have you guys seen Bella?" I asked a group of people. 

"No" they all say and I walk off. 

After awhile Mal and I meet up. 

"Ok, I have asked everyone no one has seen her" I said getting more worried. 

"We need to tell your parents and Fairy godmother" mal said and we found them at home. 

"Mom dad we need to talk" I said as Mal and I walk in to see them sitting down and dad reading. 

"What is it Ben?" mom asked. 

"Have you guys seen Bella?" I asked hoping they have seen her. 

"No not really" dad said and mom shakes her head. 

"What's wrong?" mom asked getting worried. 

"Well yesterday Lonnie and Jane told me people were giving her a hard time and when I found her she didn't even want to look at me until I saw her face and she was crying, then she ran off and I thought about giving her space and when I went to see her this morning she is not in her room" I said worried. 

"We asked everyone, legit everyone if they have seen her and no one said they have" Mal said.

"Omg" mom said as she and dad stood up. 

"I will send some guards out looking for her" dad said and he called some guards in and they went out looking for her. 

"Where could she have gone?" mom asked. 

"I don't know" I said getting sad. 

Mal's pov________________

After Ben told his parents I went to Carlos but before I reached his door news reports followed me so I ran and shut his door as fast as I could. 

"You have fun? I bet it's easy" he said and I look at him like he is crazy. 

"What? you think this is so easy?! You don't have people taking a photo of you every single time you open your mouth to say boo! I mean, it's not that I could even say 'boo', but you know what I-"  I said but then stopped myself. 

"Ok, well do you have it?" he asked getting off his bed and come up next to me.

I pull it out "Yeah. I mean, this is a truth gummie. So take it or leave it."  I said and he was about to reach for it when I pulled it away so he wouldn't grab it. 

"Hold on, though. Are you sure that you want to be taking this? Because this is gonna make you say the truth all the time, no matter what, and the only reason that I'm asking is because I know that if I took this right now, I would get myself sent back to the isle, which, it's not that that sounds super unappealing but, you know." I asked.

"Yeah give it" he said and I was about to when dude ate it "oh no bad dog" I said and by now it's gone.

"You just got to man up and while your at it scratch my butt" dude said. Wait the truth gummy makes him talk?!

We both look at the dog shocked "You heard him, scratch his butt" I said then I started to walk out. 

 "Wait, Mal, your just going to leave me with him?" Carlos asked but I didn't say anything because I walked out. 

Later that day Ben and I went on a date. I was suppose to make all of his favorite food but instead I forgot and I placed a spell on a sandwich to make it look like it's the food he wants. 

"Are you surprised?" I asked him

"Oh yeah you did, what did this take you like 3 days to make?" he asked. 

"You know, don't even ask" I said trying to avoid that topic.

"You got napkins?" he asked going through the basket. I put my spell book in there and he pulled it out. 

"Shouldn't this be in the measure?" he asked.

"You know I put it in there incase bad weather" I said trying not to worry. 

"Blue and blond hair spell" he read out the spell I used for my hair to make me look like a princess "Cooking spell" he looks at me sad. 

I try to cast a spell to take back the memoires but it didn't work "Are you trying to spell me right now?" he asked standing up.

"No, wait, Ben, It's been so hard on me-" I tried to explain but he said "Yes, things have been hard, you think learning to be king has been easy for me?" he said.

"No of course not" I said standing up like he did.

" This isn't the Isle of the Lost, Mal!" he said.

"Believe me. I know that!" I said trying not to cry. 

"Then why are you doing this?" he asked. 

"Because...I'm not one of those pretty pink princesses, Ben... I'm not one of those ladies from the court, I'm a big fake, okay? I'm fake." I said finally.

"Look, Mal, I know this is not easy on both of us, but I thought we would do it together" Ben said.

"We are in this together, we just need to take this new big step 1 by one" I said and we hugged.
