Chapter 2: DM
CHANMI
THE WHOLE world finally turned upside down and here I am, still holding tight to save my boring life. Minji, with her arms around mine, kept on speaking about things she wants to do when Jungwoo arrives. We are waiting for him at the corner of the third floor of the mall where fewer people passes by.
For example, she would like to eat on the foodcourt with Jungwoo but we know that it wouldn't happen, especially there were eyes watching every move Jungwoo makes. My hands were inside my sweatpants while the sleeves of my loose shirt hang on my arm which covers half of it.
"What do you think about buying stuffs?" She giggled upon the thought.
I blew the strands of hair that was loosen from my messy bun before glancing at her. "It's your choice and his."
"You're no help."
I sneered. "Why did you invite me here?"
"Jungwoo suggested." She pouted her lips before pressing my arm.
"It's your date, why did you agreed with that?"
"This isn't our date." She scowled at me and playfully hit my arm.
Minji suddenly turned her head then she finally let go of my arm before locking those to someone wearing a hood. I turned on my heels and immediately took a step back when someone was standing at my back. I flinched upon seeing him and smiled awkwardly.
"Hey Jae!" Minji waved her hand at Jaehyun while still hugging Jungwoo. Jaehyun who was blankly staring at me and diverted his gaze at Minji before he waved back at her.
"I tag Jae hyung along." Jungwoo glanced at me as he tapped my shoulder as Minji freed him. "Where do you want to go?"
Minji locked her arms on Jungwoo's before muttering incomprehensibly to Jungwoo. I watched them laughing with each other and even how I try not to look at how Minji's arms were wrapped around Jungwoo's, I can't help it.
"Are you a fan of love stories?" Jaehyun blurted out. His eyes were fixed on the couple walking in front of us.
Even I'm puzzled with his sudden question, I answered him. "Nope."
"Then why do you keep on watching them?" He gave me a sideward glance.
"I'm not." I looked away immediately and then lowered my head.
Why do we lie even though we know we were caught? We're trying to escape something but pushing ourselves even more in the process.
My eyes crawled back to the view in front of me and I really want to slap myself for doing so because I didn't know Jaehyun was already staring at me.
"You know what? It's not the best view here," he muttered, his eyes were locked on me. "There's better than that somewhere."
"Then where's it?" I looked around our track.
He held my chin and made me face him. "Here."
"What the heck?" I swat his hand and scowled at him while he just chuckled. Minji and Jungwoo turned their heads to look at us with questioning look on their face.
"Don't mind us," Jaehyun said with a chuckle while waving his hand.
I want to inform Jaehyun that it's given. Yes, his face is the best view to stare at, so as Jungwoo's.
"What's with the sigh?" Minji asked me and I just shook my head. I didn't know I just heave a sigh after I thought of that.
They changed their minds and they wanted to ride a bicycle at the park near the mall. I stared at the night sky from the car's window. Jungwoo's driving and beside him is Minji while Jaehyun and I were on the backseat.
