The day was sunny and Station 19 was preparing for another day that was apparently normal.
- Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Said Maya, already with several fruits in hand.
-I totally agree with you, I always ate well at breakfast in the morning, in fact at all meals. Miller said, with a tray full of food.
- Looks like the couple at Station 19 is late for coffee. Said Travis, with a sarcastic voice smiling from the corners as Victoria did not hide that she laughed at the half-hearted joke.
- Let them do what we should do and we can never, sad my life. Emmett said, smiling.
Without realizing that Sullivan and Andy were coming in through the front door of the kitchen and that they had overheard all the conversation, they were going to continue the subject that gave a good laugh when Ben noticed that the couple was approaching and soon tried to get the friends out of the awkward situation.
- Look, the couple has arrived. Ben said when he saw Andy and Sullivan come in through the kitchen door.
- I arrived and starved, you can pass everything you have there for me. Andy said opening the fridge and filling a tray.
Everyone looked and found Andy's way of mixing food funny, but they were happy to see her friend eating well after her father Pruitt's death.
Since the death of his father, Andy had faced difficult days. Her father had died to toast his life for her and her friends. It was a heroic, beautiful, admirable act, but that didn't make her miss him. She had already lost her mother when she was only 9 years old, and since then her father was her family, and even though her last words had shown the love he felt for her, she could not overcome this loss in her life anymore. She spent days wondering why her father had gone up on that roof to ventilate the smoke from the fire that she was trapped with her companions, why he, why not someone else, why not ... those why did they end her. But that day she was fine, she had woken up with a different brightness, it was as if even in the middle of so much darkness she could see a ray of light.
Andy was thinking about his father and didn't realize that his friends were calling him.
- Seriously are you going to put mustard on strawberry pie? Asked Sullivan, laughing at the situation.
The bell rings alerting a call to ambulance 19, which ends up placing Ben, Sullivan, and Maya in the middle of a forest to rescue a victim of a suicide attempt. She was a woman of about 24 years old.
- How does a woman attempt suicide in a forest? I have never heard of people looking for this environment ... Maya asks.
- I have already received some people who attempted suicide here, as sad as it is, it is common. They throw themselves off a cliff that is there. Said Ben.
