The cardiac monitor pointed out that Ana was still there.  The sound of the doctor, firefighter and now mother's heartbeat was soothing.  The tears that were once of sadness and despair turned to joy, she was there, she was strong, she had come back to fulfill her promises, to educate and love her daughter, to be Meuri's older sister and that friend  indescribable of all, there was hope, Ana's heart was beating again.

The arrival at Gray Sloan was quick and challenging.  The doctors were on standby waiting for Ana and Lua, ready to do everything possible to save them.

Ana was quickly taken to the ICU and underwent several tests and procedures, while Lua, now calm, was evaluated by Dr. Hayes pediatrician at the hospital.  The wait was distressing, it was not allowed to follow the procedures with Ana, but an exception was made for Dr. Wilson to remain with her friend.  Soon the news about Lua arrived and it was good.

- The little moon is fine!  In our breast milk donation bank, we managed to get an amount for her, who, after eating, slept soundly.  All exams are great, so she should be home by two days.  Dr. Hayes said.

- You don't know how relieved I am!  Lua's mother is in serious condition and I couldn't survive the loss of my little one either.  Can I stay here at the hospital with her?  Jack asked.

- Yes, of course you can.  It is very important to contact the parents in the first hours after birth.  Congratulations your daughter is beautiful.

The three smiled.  After that chaos it was possible to smile.  Meuri and Andy still with blood on their clothes hugged Jack who was thrilled.  "She'll be fine, I'm sure."  Meuri said softly in Jack's ear, he nodded and smiled briefly.

- My love!  Sullivan entered the corridor leading to the reception.  I brought you clean clothes!  Any news?

- The moon is fine!  You will be here for two more days and then you can go home.  Andy replied.

- Congratulations Jack!  May you be very happy!  Sullivan hugged Jack, who had a sad face.

- We haven't heard from Ana yet ... they took her to do procedures and I believe it should take time.  This wait is distressing.  Meuri completed

Andy and Meuri went to change while Sullivan gave Jack all the support he needed.  He couldn't think of anything at all other than Ana. He loved her very much.  It wasn't the love he felt for Joe, it was the love of a friend, brother, best friend, it was as if she became a fundamental part of his and Jô's life, he couldn't think about the possibility of facing life without her, she was  of the family, it was too important to leave his life like that.  I couldn't answer the phone numbers for Ana's family members or 19.

Sullivan, as a good friend, was the spokesperson for the information, answered all the phones and gave news to 19, who, without being able to understand the gravity of the situation, needed to remain on duty.

The wait was distressing, each second seemed like countless hours and the anxiety of being without news was growing to the point of losing the sense of time.  It was as if it had not happened, that none of it was real, or just the imagination of each one.

But it was real.  And it became even more real when Dr. Amelia Shepherd, Dr. Carina, and Dr. Bailey arrived with the news, and soon it was clear that Joe was missing which made it even more terrifying.

- We just evaluated Ana Carolina and came up with not very pleasant news.  We need you to stay calm and just focus on listening to the information we have.  Bailey started.

- Ana had a complication of what we call tachysystolia, it is when the contractions start too strong and with a short interval of time, and as a consequence the woman has no dilation.  When this happens, we seek an emergency cesarean section or we may have fetal distress, which is what happened with Ana. You chose to deliver the baby and with that she lost a lot of blood because she had a second problem already known by doctors.  Our assessment is that she had a clotting problem, which followed as the lack of uterine contraction causing her to lose more blood than normal.  This type of problem is not foreseen in the prenatal exams, we had no way of predicting it, she had two serious problems one followed by the other, first the Tachysystolia and then problems in the blood clotting that led to the hemorrhage.  Carina said.
