Niall's POV:
I paced rapidly in front of their overwhelmingly large home. I knew I saw her almost every day but whenever my eyes met hers...my mind goes blank. I felt like its the first time I am seeing her all over again. Alice Tomlinson. The most perfect, beautiful, amazing, hilarious girl I ever met. I've wanted her to be mine since I was 12. Now I'm 17 and without any luck with her.
I drew a heavy sigh and tried to collect whatever dignity I had left. Storming up to the front of the house, I came to the realization that she was going to answer the door. I could already hear my heart beat stutter violently. On the opposite side of the door, I listened to her humming softly as she approached the handle. I felt the beads of sweat start to form at the back of my neck.
What should I say to her? I have to put on my sexy man voice. The door swung upon only to reveal her mother.
"Hi, Mrs. Tomlinson," I said monotonically.
"Oh hello Niall, dear!" she said before placing two wet kisses on each of my cheeks.
"Mum, who is it?" I heard the sweet voice of Alice ask.
"Niall, dear," She said sweetly.
"Oh, hi Neil," She muttered.
"Um, sweetheart it's Niall not Neil," Mrs. Tomlinson stated.
A blush arose in my cheeks. I've known this girl for 5 years and she can't ever pronounce my name right?
"No, it's fine. Hi Alice," I mumbled as I stalked up the stairs to Louis, my best friend's room. I could hear the loud laughter from down the hallway as I neared Louis' bedroom.
"Hey guys," I said enthusiastically, trying to mask my heartbreak.
"Niall! How's it going?" Harry asked, giving me a cheeky smile exposing his deep-set dimples.
"Hey mate!" Louis shouted, smirking at me.
"You know, your sister doesn't even know my name," I stated, laughing it off.
"Oh who cares. She is a bitch," Louis replied, waving my comment away. When he called her a bitch I cringed away slightly.
"So how was the doctor's appointment?" Harry asked.
"They said I looked okay but they wanted me to come in next week just for good measure. I feel like shit though," I mumbled, staring down at my shoes. To say I felt like shit was an understatement. It felt as if someone was taking a chainsaw to the lining of my stomach. I could barely keep down anything I ate today.
"Yeah man, you don't look too well," Louis trailed off, noticing my pale complexion.
"Yeah, whatever," I responded.
"Hey, why don't we go to that party we were invited to. It could get your mind off of everything," Louis said quietly. I was unsure if this was the best thing to do in my situation.
"Um... I don't know if that's such a great idea guys...," I trailed off.
"Niall, come on. You know you need to loosen up. You've been a basket case this whole week," Harry piped in.
"No, I haven't," I immediately defended myself. "Come on Niall, it'll be fun!" Louis retorted, persuading me. I finally gave in and responded a quick and groaned "fine" as I turned to head to the door. I opened the front door forcefully, regretful with the fact I accepted the invitation to this party.
"Boys? Where are you going?" Mrs. Tomlinson questioned, behind us.
"To a party," Louis stated before promptly closing the door.
