Emily looks at me and smiles, she then drags me down the hall to where her mate is. I look over at her and see she is a little nervous. I give her hand a squeeze and she smiles at me. I see her looking at David. David stops talking to his friends and smells the air he looks at Emily. He walks towards us and stops right in front of her. It's like they were the only people in the world. David looks at Emily with so much love and he smiles. "I'm just going to leave you two love birds alone", I say.
I walk to math with so many questions in my head. Why haven't I found my mate? What does it feel like to be so in love with someone? What if I don't have a mate? I push all the questions to the side and head into math and take a seat. Shortly after, Lizzy comes in and sits next to me. "Hey, are you going to the party tonight"?, she asks. "No, I have to babysit tonight and I have a chemistry test I have to study for". She scrunches up her face in disgust. Just as the warning bell rings a smiling Emily comes in. "Girl, you look like you are on cloud 9", Lizzy says. I look at Lizzy and say "she found her mate". "Oh my gosh Lizzy yells who is it"! Emily smiles and says "David Grey". "He plays on the soccer team right"? Emily nods her head. "You are one lucky girl", "girls drool over him", says Lizzy. The teacher hurries in just as the final bell rings. I sigh, Time to be miserable. The rest of the day goes by slowly. By the time I get to my car I'm exhausted. I head home and study until I have to go and babysit.
It's 8:00 and I head over to the alphas house. I walk up the stairs and am greeted by Alpha Max and Luna Skyler. I hear tiny footsteps and Kenzly runs and hugs me and says "Mal"! That's her nickname for me because she can't pronounce it. Kenzly is four and she looks just like the Alpha and Luna with blonde hair and forest green eyes. Alpha smiles and says "Thank you for babysitting tonight". "I wanted to take Skyler out for her birthday". "No problem", I say. They give Kenzly a hug and head out. I make Kenzly dinner and we watch a movie. "I'm tired mal". I look down and see a tired Kenzly. I laugh and say "alright go get ready for bed", "I'll be up in a minute". I clean up her toys and on my way up the stairs, when I hear a piercing scream that goes all throughout the house.
