Harry
Everything is done by 6 in the evening, and of course it all made my mouth water. I don't know where this girl learned to cook but man she was unbelievablely great at it. Even better than our cook on the road Sarah and she went to school for it. Nonetheless Jamie has Sarah out beat, no doubt about it.
I looked over the variety of food and it all looked perfect though I couldn't help but notice the portion of food. "Is the whole town coming over?" I question truthfully while making my plate. "Nope just me and you." She wipes off her hands and moves for a plate but I grasp her hand again letting it linger as I speak, "I've got it, just go sit and rest for a bit." She looks in my eyes deeply then nods, slowly backing away to her seat.
After I was done making her plate and mines I sat right next to her. I immediately dug in to the turkey which unsurprisingly wasn't dry like it usually would be. The corn, grean beans and greens I made were shockingly good, with the help of Jamie of course. Then her ham, and cornbread was magnificent. "I'm gonna have a nice fat ass after this meal." Jamie moaned at her own food, I shifted in my chair then felt a tent grow in my pants when her thigh pressed against mines. Jesus Christ.
"You okay Harry?" Jamie questioned looking at me weird. I clear my throat and make up a quick lie. "Just wondering who taught you to cook like this." Its a good lie if I might add. "My mama." She mumbled and made her bites faster. "I must kiss that woman." I said but when I notice her movements stop next to me I instantly regret it. "Good luck getting through the hospital doors." She looks dead at me and I stare back. "Not like she can respond or anything, I mean she has been in a f.ucking coma for 4 years!" She laughs hysterically, but I knew she was covering up the pain.
"Why do I get the sense that she's the reason you're doing this?" I whisper so faint it got lost in the air. "Maybe because you care unlike everyone else." She shakes her head. "Besides there's no sympathy for murders right?"
I let go of my fork and it lands on the glass plate with a loud clink. Turning to her I get in her face and she looks down, not letting me see her completely vulnerable. "You are not a murderer, you are a victim of kidnapping. Yeah you might set up people for the worst but you are as about as free as they are." I lift up her head with my big hand and she sighs and nods.
The meal is finished in mostly silence, including throughout the seconds, which was mostly full of that beautiful dressing.
"That meal was fantastic, may I show my gratitude in eating you out?" She choked on her V8 juice and I pat her back with a smirk. "Its alright babe, let it out." I move away from the island to go put up the food and clean the dishes while she continues to cough.
Eventually she regains composure and joins me at the sink. "Why are you doing the dishes? Others would gladly let me slave over the kitchen." She questioned picking up a pan herself and I quickly take from her. "Its okay I insist," I tell her, "I may be in captivity but I know for now I'm safe."
"No, you're not though in a couple of months you'll- " She starts but I end her sentence. "Yeah that's later but I'm safe. I'm safe here with you, Jamie." Her name felt good on my tongue.
"Where did you come from?" She whispered getting closer until her chest was pressed against my mid section. "Doesn't matter, I know where I am." Jamie wasted no more time standing up on her toes looking deeply in my eyes like she was trying to see behind them. But then she let her eyelids flutter down as she grabbed the back of my neck to pull me closer.
We lingered for a moment until I leaned my head to the right, closed my eyes and we pressed our lips together.
F.u.c.k.i.n.g. FINALLY.
