"You've got your freedom"
They say.
"We support equality"
Another says.
"Say no to racism"
Shouts one in the mic.
"We work towards peace"
Writes another.
If dressed in white;
The colour of peace and holiness,
They'll be completely stained
By the blood of their very own deeds.
Hypocrites they are.
Practicing the opposites of-
Whatever their tongue speaks,
Breaking every promise they made,
Every statement proclaimed.
"It's our country"
Screams the young on the roads
With wounds etched deep in their souls.
"We need justice and not you"
They loudly roar
Shaking all positions, and all posts.
Its time honourable sirs' and ma'ams'
For you to take a wise stand.
Preserve the peace and justice as you vowed,
Or don't be bewildered and shocked
When the public starts to ponder - and
Decide to take justice in their hands.
Gone are the days when we were blind.
And here are the days where we rise.
We believe in unity and harmony-
Unlike many of you.
We do believe in unity and harmony-
Unlike many of you.
