My saviour (PhanaxForth)

The parents

Forth arrived at 6pm sharp at restaurant la dame rose. Unknown to Phana, Forth had arranged to meet his parents first at 6pm and Phana's parents at 7pm. He wanted to talk to them before Phana arrived at 8pm.

As he walked in, he saw his parents May and Arm already sitting on the table. "Hello sweetheart, how are you?" May asked as she hugged Forth. "I'm very well actually" Forth smiled happily as he greeted his parents. "Who else are we expecting?" Arm asked, "the waiter led us to a table for 6 persons". "That's what I want to talk to you about" Forth replied seriously as he took place at the table. He then took the time to order drinks for them before turning back to his parents. "I found the person I'm going to marry and spent the rest of my life with. He's name is Phana. He is a 3th year medical student at my school. We are meeting him and his parents here tonight." His parents looked at him in shock. "I knew you played around with both woman and men, but I never knew you were serious with anyone. And with a man." Arm looked at Forth thoughtfully. "I have nothing against gay relationships or gay marriage but think about your future. While it is legal, many people still look down on a gay marriage. It will affect your job and business and it will make it much harder to start a family and provide an heir. You're still young, no need to commit yourself already. We will talk again after you graduated."

Saying nothing Forth took out an envelope from his bag he took with him and placed it in front of his father. "What is this?" Arm asked as he opened the envelope. "It's a legal document proclaiming that I give up my inheritance and the name Jaturapoom. I have already signed everything, so the decision lies in your hand. Phana is mine and I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him, that is not negotiable. I am not going to hide him, and I will not let anyone come in between us. I love my family and I know that my decision could influence your life and your business so I will leave the choice to you to accept and support my relationship or not. If you cannot accept us, sign the papers and I will stay out of your way. I have earned enough money doing internships at our business to provide for us until we graduate."

"You would leave us..... for him?" May asked with tears shining in her eyes. "Mom, I love you and I don't want to leave you. But I also love him. He is the one." Forth's faced softened as he looked at his mother.

... krrrssshh... Forth looked at his father as he tore the document in little pieces. "You are our son and we will support you no matter what. If this is your decision, we will stand beside you no matter the outcome." Forth father said as he stood up and grabbed his son in a tight hug. May immediately joined and for a couple of minutes they stood there enjoying the warmth of their family hug. "Thank you" Forth says unable to keep the emotion out of his voice.

The remaining time of their hour Forth talked about Phana and about the fact that Phana's parents would arrive an hour before Phana. He asked his parent for help convincing Phana's parents to support their relationship.

At 7pm Phana's parent Preya and Jay arrived. They took the news much harder than Forth's parents had. They were committed to the believe that their son was studying medicine as a phase in his life but would return to his family and family business after settling down with a nice woman and producing a lot of heirs. Their commitment soon turned into fear as Forth and his father threatened to unleash the Jaturapooms power on them which could easily end them and their careers. They carefully tried to reason with Forth proclaiming that their son was nothing special and was not worth al that effort but the look of disgust and rising rage on Forth's face after their comments had them quickly silently quivering in fear and agreeing to everything he said.

As 8pm arrived both set of parents had agreed not to mention their earlier conversations to Phana and to pretend that they had just arrived. At 8pm sharp Phana entered the restaurant only to see he was the last person to arrive. Nervously he walked up to the table "I'm sorry, am I late?". "Just on time love, may I introduce you to May and Arm, my parents" Forth said as Phana took place beside him. "How lovely to meet you dear" May said to Phana with a smile on her face "we just arrived. I hope you don't mind, we already ordered drinks. We just finished introducing ourselves to your parents Preya and Jay. You haven't missed anything".

The entire evening was full of pleasant small talk, getting to know each other. Phana kept nervously glancing at his parents expecting them to blow up and oppose to his relationship. He knew them as strict parents who wanted him to follow the path they had laid out for him. But they pleasantly surprised him and seemed to support his relationship with Forth. "Thank you" Phana whispered to Forth. "What for?" Forth whispered back. "My parents have never agreed with any choice that I have made and tried to control my entire life. I don't know what you did but thank you." Phana looked at Forth showing all the love he felt for him in his eyes and smile. Forth couldn't control himself and kissed Phana right there in front of their parents. Their love clear to see for everyone who was watching them.
