The pizza was here within ten minutes.
Coach ordered 1/2 meat lovers for him, 1/2cheese for Jean, and a whole pepperoni for me and my mom.
"Thank you coach."
"No problem. Thank you for the help. Means a lot."
"It's not a problem."
We ate in silence, then Jean spoke up.
"Um, I'd better get home."
He kinda just rushed out, I waved goodbye with a shy smile.
He waved back.

After coach and I finished eating I cleaned up the table.
"Can I stay and finish my homework?"
"Sure."
I only had homework for geometry, biology and art.
I had started on my geometry in class and I only have 4 questions left.
Why must we study trig in geometry?
I breezed through the geometry and right on to the biology.
DNA replication.
Why.
I don't like bio, but I'm good at it.
I finished the homework in ten minutes.

"Hey, I'm gonna head out."
"In the snow? I don't think so. Let me drive you home." Coach insisted.
"Are you sure? My house isn't that far."
"I'm sure, come on."
We walked out of the classroom and locked the door.
When we reached the exit doors, the bitter, winter air hit me like a truck.
I shivered.

On the way to my house, I started giving directions to Coach, forgetting how many times he's done this.
"Violet, are you sure you're gonna be okay?"
He knows all about my mom and what has happened in the past.
"I'm sure. Thank you."
It was only a two minute drive.
But it felt like forever.
I got out of the truck as coach called,
"Take care of yourself Violet! See you tomorrow."
I waved and continued into my house.
I unlocked the door and walked in.
I saw my... DAD?!
