I know there are a lot of Harry Potter fans out there and I just wanted to share what these books mean to me.
I love them- I started reading them when I was six and I immediately fell in love with the characters. The friendship that Harry, Ron and Hermione shared was what I based my relationships on.
The lessons throughout those books about courage and love have changed my life and for that I will be forever grateful to J.K Rowling. She definitely changed my life and I'm sure she's saved it on more than one count.
I owe my world to Harry Potter and his friends.
I started writing this fic after reading several dramione fics where Ron was villainized (I don't think that's a word lol). And I can honestly say that it broke my heart. One of my best friends is basically a Ron and I can say without a doubt that he would never treat me the way Ron usually ends up treating Harry and Hermione in these fics.
That's not to say I didn't enjoy reading them-I just wanted the write something that let me preserve the friendship that I fell in love with when I was six.
