"I love you too."
Ace and I were officially going out with each other already but of course, we had to keep it a secret. He said he wouldn't tell anyone but I was free to tell whom I want to. I knew I could not hide it from Tony and Anne so I told them right after we made it official.
The two of us were once again seated on the floor or the far end of the library where the encyclopedias were placed. It was starting to become our own hidden spot. We could stay here a whole day and no one would even pass by it.
I was leaning against him, my head on his shoulder. We were both reading articles that were in relation to our line of course.
Mid-Year examination had just ended and yet both of us had a stack of things we had to do. On top of that, there were only three days left before Sports Fest. The most awaited event of the year.
Despite the fact that we were going out, the rivalry between us remained the same.
We agreed not to hold grudges against one another no matter what happens on Sports Fest. We were both focused on winning, we both wanted our own house to bring home the cup.
We were not planning on going easy on one another, but as of the moment, none of those things mattered. We were both indulged in our own readings, thankful for the fact that Sports Fest is not being taken care of by the executive committee.
The teachers were the ones who are in charge of Sports Fest, they can't leave it to a student because the activities and events may become biased. This was why despite the event coming up, the executive committees of each house were not that stressed.
We only had to make sure that everyone in our own house participates. There was a list that had to be filled up, that was all.
"Are you ready to lose again to me, Vandia?" he placed his reading down and looked at me. He played with my hair as he raised the question.
We had placed second in the most recent school event, Track and Field Day. We lost to Beta.
We barely interacted with each other that day, well the event had happened during the time that he was ignoring me. He did ignore me for five months straight.
"We won't lose," I rolled my eyes.
"Track and Field day suddenly reminds me of the fact that you ignored me for five straight months, why?" I made sure my voice sounded serious.
He stared at me and scanned my look, he was probably thinking about whether to answer me sarcastically or seriously. He was smart enough to answer by using the latter.
