Walking home from school, highlight of my life. I cant wait to get home, make some of my famous hot chocolate and finish editing my new video. Ugh finally, im home. after i made my famous hot chocolate, i start to edit my video.
"Jc, Sydney, family meeting in the living room" Mother says
"Alright, ill be down in a minute" I reply
"Coming" i hear jc say
Yes, we're the type of family that holds family meetings. they're so boring. I put my iMac in sleep mode and i head downstairs. I see that i was the last one to arrive. Oops.
"Alright, now that everyone's here, we will start the family meeting" mother says with a smile, looking at her boyfriend. " We have some big news"
There was a long pause.
"Well, whats the news?" Jc interrupted.
Mom and her boyfriend both spoke at the same time "we're getting married"
I was in complete shock. How could she do this to dad? Why?
"Uh, congratulations" i say "whens the wedding?"
"Well we havent worked out the details but were thinking sometime in the next 3 weeks" mom replied.
"Can i be a bridesmaid?" I ask
"Of course you can" mother replies
"Well thats all we wanted to discuss, you can go back to your rooms now" mom says
Me and Jc stand up and start to head upstairs.
"Sydney, we will go dress shopping this weekend, i know you have exams next week" mom says before i head upstairs.
"Ok sure" i reply
Well that was a strange turn of events. but mom's boyfriend ( now husband ) has 2 children. How is everyone going to fit in here?.
"Hmmmmmmm" i think to myself
Maybe me and Jc will have to move out. I guess ill go speak to mom about it. Hopefully this goes well.
