A few weeks have passed, and life couldn't be better. I met this guy named Hector, he's so cute and really nice. We have been hanging out a lot recently too. We walk to and from class together, we sit together during lunch, and he gives me a ride to and from school. The rest of the group isn't fond of him, but that's alright. They just need to get to know him.
...........................................................
"Hey Becks." Hector says, walking towards me as I walk into the school. He couldn't pick me up today because he had early morning football practice, but that didn't stop him from leaving early to come see me I guess.
"Hey Taurus." I reply, slightly blushing. He smiles and loops his arm around mine.
"So there's a party going down this weekend on the southside. I wanted to know if you were down to go as my date." He says. I look at him for a second before saying anything.
"What kind of party?" I ask. He stops and turns to me.
"Oh no no! Not that kind, just a business party at my dad's office. I wanted to bring someone, since my dad is forcing me to go. I thought maybe we could hang out while everyone else does their thing. Y'know?" He replies. I smile and nod.
"It's a date." I say, shyly. He smirks.
"That it is, Becks, that it is." He says, maniacally. I was kind of creeped out, but I brushed it off.
...........................................................
"Hey Becca!" Adam says, pulling out the chair next to him for me to sit in as I walk into my second hour class.
"Hey!" I reply, smiling. I sit in the seat and get my books out of my bag.
"Any plans for the weekend?" He asks. I smile a little and nod.
"Yep! Hector invited me to a party at his dad's office." I say, looking over to see Adam roll his eyes.
"Of course it's with Hector." He says, sarcastically.
"I don't get why you guys hate him so much. He is literally the sweetest!" I reply, slightly annoyed.
"He just gives off bad vibes Becca. Also, the nickname 'Becks', isn't that really similar to the nickname that you only let Gio use?" He asks. I roll my eyes.
"Look Adam, if you don't like Hector that's fine, but I'm not going to stop hanging out with him." I say. He sighs and nods.
"I know, but just be careful alright?" He replies. I nod and turn my attention to the teacher.
...........................................................
"Hey guys!" I say, sitting down at the lunch table. They all look at me and nod before quickly returning to their conversations.
"Becks! Come sit with me and my friends!" Hector yells from across the room. I look over and see all the football players, cheerleaders, and some volleyball players waving me over. I get up and go over because it wasn't like the rest of them wanted me over there anyway.
"Becca! Oh my god you should totally try out for cheer! We can all have sleepovers and even leave school early!" One of the cheerleaders says. Hector pulls me by my waist closer to him.
"She won't be doing that. I don't want you guys to steal my Becks from me." He says. We all laugh and Hector and I sit down.
"So Becca, what's going on with the losers over at table 23?" Justin, Hector's best friend, asks.
