John and I had only been at the cottage for a day, but We decided to go out to the park near the little house for a bit, it was maybe a fifteen minute walk. We each packed a little bag with our phones and some food and then we started towards the park.
It was 12:00pm when we got to the park and we sat down at a bench by the forest. We had been sitting there and talking for a while, we were talking about school and who we wanted to be in our classes next year and some other stuff. John got up to go to the washroom and he left me sitting there on the bench.
I had never been a worrier but when he left I felt this uneasiness, almost like I wasn't alone.
I decided to get up and wander around the park while still staying close to where John was, there was a big sign in the middle of the park and it was covered with papers. Because of my curiosity I wandered over to see what it was. Missing people? The sign was covered in missing people!
There was one sheet in the middle of the sign that caught my attention, I recognized that person... but I couldn't figure out who it was.
I lost my train of thought once John came over to ask me what I was doing, we walked back over to the bench and sat down. I looked over at the deep forest ahead of us, John's mother warned us not to go in there because she said it was dangerous and we could get lost very easily.
There was a long trail splitting the forest in two normally bikers would go down there with a few friends but occasionally John and I saw a few sketchy people walk down.

I have always found forest's to be creepy the thought of making one wrong turn and being lost for days kinda scares me, on the other hand John loves them, he always has ever since we were kids
