chapter one : to the ground

I looked out the window into space. God I wish we were on the ground instead of rotting in this cell.

I had been arrested for keeping Octavia a secret. Even if I'm Marcus Kane's daughter. Octavia's older brother Bellamy turned me in because he was mad. He told me I was the reason my mom, and his mom were floated. And I was the reason Octavia got caught. I will never tell him the real reason. He would hate the person so much, so just let him hate me. I ended up sharing a cell with Octavia. Since that day, we have been best friends. She's practically my sister.

Octavia jumped down off her bunk bed, "Whatcha thinking about, Ada?"

I sighed, "The ground."

She chuckled, "Again?"

Before I could answer guards busted through the door.

One of them took out a weapon, ready to hit us, "Prisoner 78, prisoner 79, against the wall hands up."

We did as told.

I saw out of the corner of my eye they were taking silver/gray wristbands out of box, "Right arms out."

We did as told once again. I felt 3 needles go into my wrist and I winced in pain. I always was very weak and sensitive even if it was a tiny cut. Octavia smirked at me. She was making fun of my weak body once again.

After we landed in the ground with a huge impact Octavia and I got up. I immediately recognized a few people. My best friends (besides Octavia) Jasper, and Monty. Then I say my ex-best friend, Clarke Griffin.

I jumped into Jasper and monty's arms, "You guys! I missed you!"

Monty hugged back, "Ad!? We missed you more!"

Jasper chuckled and hugged me back.

I bumped into somebody, "Murphy!"

I hugged him.

He laughed and hugged me back, "Hey there angel. How you doing?"

I smiled and pulled away, "Great now that I've seen you!"

Clarke and Bellamy were arguing, till Octavia interrupted, "Bellamy?"

She pushed through everybody and hugged him. He hugged her back. They said some words but I was to far back to hear anything. Bellamy's eyes found mine and I quickly looked away.

I wrapped my arms around Murphy's waist and smelled him, "Ive missed your smell, Murph."

He laughed, "Ada Ive missed you too."

I smiled big but immediately turned around after I heard yelling.

Somebody gasped, "Nobody has a brother!"

"That's Octavia Blake! The girl they found under the floor," the girl turned to me, "And that's Ada Kane! The girl who kept it a secret."

I frowned and buried my face into Murphy's chest. After a minute or so I heard the door open.

I turned and saw Octavia.

She inhaled, "WE'RE BACK B*TCHES!"

I ran out and celebrated with Jasper and Monty.

Jasper, Monty, and I did our handshake before I felt the familiar arms around my neck.

I turned, "O!"

I hugged her and pulled away.

I smiled towards her but as soon as I looked at Bellamy my smiled faded, "I... uh gotta go. See ya."
