They called us to the back and swabbed our mouths and drew some blood
"Umm, how much would it be to get the results rushed" I asked
"We don't do rush ma'am, it'll be ready tomorrow afternoon. You can come back after lunch and pick them up"
I nod and queen and I leave the room, but not before my stomach growls
"Let's grab lunch" she says as we make it back to East
She pulls out her phone I'm guessing to call shooter and we leave the clinic
I get back in the car with East since I was holding Kai
"What kinda food you like", he asks
"Honestly I can eat anything"
"Jamaican"
"Yeah that's fine"
15 minutes go by and we pull up to this Jamaican spot and I see queen and shooter pulled up as well
"Wassup sis" he said walking over to me
"Wassuo bro" I laugh
"My baby's" Queen said damn near in tears
We walk into the restaurant and we order, while we're waiting on our food I feed and play with Kai, but I really wanted to know more about queen and shooter
"Umm, I don't wanna overstep or anything but where's uhh"
"Marcus" she asks with an eyebrow raised
I nod
She takes a deep breath "he was killed about 2 weeks after you were taken"
"I'm sorry I di-"
"Baby there's no way you could've known" she gave me a reassuring smile
A few minutes of silence goes by and we get our food
"Sooo, ma said you're a nurse" shooter said looking at me
I nod "when i was young I wanted to be just like my mo- I mean Yvette, I though she was the best person in the world"
"Who's Yvette"
"The woman who raised me"
Shooter nods " she's a nurse" he questioned
"Nah she was a doctor"
"Was?" Queen asked
"She passed about a week before I got here
"I'm sorry for your loss" Queen says
I nod "thank you"
"I'm not she stole you from us" shooter said getting upset
"Will, she was a baby she didn't know. You have to let the past be the past. Even though Yvette was wrong we also got Egy- Umm Jayda back"
"Egypt" shooter corrects her
"Umm, what's my full name"
Queen looks at me before smiling " Egypt Nicole Daniels"
For some reason it brought me so much joy hearing her say my name
"I like it"
We finish eating and all decide we're going to the clinic tomorrow for the results
Since East lives the closest to the hotel he drops me off
"Thanks for the ride"
"No problem, be ready in the morning"
