Chapter one

*riiiing riiiing riii-*

"Hello" semi said groggily
"Good morning love. How'd you sleep?"

Semi loved the sound of Shirabu's voice in the mornings. He was always checking up on him. Shirabu was out of town that specific weekend because of family things, so semi was left alone... that wasn't going to well. Semi had horrible depression and often questioned if he was really worthy of being on this earth. Of course Shirabu always was the reason he HAD to stay.

"Eh, I slept ok. How's your family? How's little kalani? Semi asked with a small smile

"She's good, she just came inside from playing with the dogs. I swear she's like Tendou when it comes to dogs." The younger said with a laugh.

The conversation carried on for another 15 minutes, mainly Shirabu asking semi if he took his meds, got a shower, went outiside, just being a mom. They both ended the call after they shared an "i love you" and semi hung up. He rolled out of bed and went to take his meds and get something to eat. He was terribly thin. His sadness had gotten worse and worse since Shirabu left to see his family. He told himself he was being over dramatic, but he'd be lying. Shirabu was his safe place, his home, his safe zone, he didn't have to worry about being judged or yelled at. He knew Shirabu loved him. No doubt about it.

*flashback*

"YOUR RIDICULOUS! I HATE YOU!"

"YOU KNOW WHAT-"

"Mommyyy!"
Little semi ran Into his house. The arguing between his parents stopped once they heard their little boys voice. His mother walked away and into the room where her son was looking for her. She scooped him up into her arms and spun him around planting kisses all over his face, which earned a few giggles from semi.

A few hours later little semi and his father were sitting on the couch watching tv when his mother came in

"Semi dear, it's time to go to bed love."

"Aww, ok. Goodnight daddy." The little boy said.

"Now wait just a second..." his father said with a slight annoyance in his voice. "He can stay with me if he wants too." He said. "I'm a little tired dad, I'm gonna go to bed." The little boy slid off the couch and to his mother who picked him up and swung him around planting a little kiss on his head.

"Mommy?"
"Yes darling?"
"Im thirsty. Can I have some juice?" The little child said, playing with his fingers.

"Of course dear, come on let's go get you some."
They walked into the kitchen to see semi's father with a beer bottle in his hand just drinking away. "Dear, could you please pass me the juice?" Semi's mother said, her voice trembling... she knew what was bound to come.
"Get it yourself bitch!" His voice got more aggressive and tears welled up in semi's eyes.
"Please don't yell, your scaring him."
"He can be scared if he wants! He's a little bitch" now he was yelling, semi was crying, and his mother was backing away... staring at the monster in front of her. And before you know it, the older man shoved his wife and son into the walls with all his force... blood oozing from the broken woman.

The poor little boy had no clue what to do.
"Mommy? Mommy wake up... mommy? M-m-mom-my please get up! Please!" The young child was screaming now, shaking his mother aggressively trying to somehow revive her. Their was no use... she was gone.

He was only 4...

*back to the present*

"Bye kalani, ill see you in a few weeks ok?"
"Bye bye!" The little girl said waving. Shirabu adored his niece. She and semi were all he had left. His parents disowned him after he came out as gay, and kalani's aunt was always at work so when the sitter wasn't available, shirabu was always the one to take care of her.

He took out his phone and texted his boyfriend.

Fr🥺 ok  hurry please!
But don't drive to fast,

And with that, he slammed the gas and sped off, eager to get to his boyfriend. He'd be lying if he said semi wasn't his everything. Shirabu was always the quiet kid in school. He never wanted people around because he despised everyone... that is until semi came along. He loved that boy the second he lasts eyes on him. He'd never want anyone else. He shook off his thoughts and sped up...
