Amanda's POV
I woke up the next morning feeling really positive,I don't even know why I was so worried,my parents will come looking for me,they love me and they wouldn't make it one year without me,they probably planned it,most likely my mum,thought
It was like yesterday was just a nightmare that feels real, I have no reason to worry,they probably just destroyed their SIM card,it has happened before
When I woke up today,I thought I was going to be jobless but I looked at the schedule the man gave me and I had the afternoon shift,I sure hope the weekend comes fast because after all this stress I need to go to the spa.
I looked at the time and it was 9:20am just enough time to get ready,I already took a shower and did my morning routine,today I wanted to go simple,I decided to wear plain white T-shirt and tight blue jeans with pink bag and shoes,I tied my her in a lose ponytail and head out to work
I entered the car and drove off to the filing station then continued my journey,I don't think I can go to work outside town everyday,the journey is too long and dangerous just imagine if I had a night shift,the environment looks so secluded even in the day time,I'm just going to tell my parents to buy me a new house when they find me that is
I arrived two minutes early,so I got off the car and entered the building I headed to the back looked for the restroom then I changed into the uniform,it was a short dress and a white apron attached to it,it's a little too revealing even for me but if there is one thing I've learned is don't complain too much about the petit problems you have with your job just take it because it's not easy to find one
I walked out and asked the manager to help,so she showed up how to do my job it wasn't that hard because it was very similar to my previous job she also showed me who I would be working my shift
"Hey,I'm Adam"he introduced himself he was tall light skinned and had black hair,to be honest he was actually kinda cute
"Hi I'm Amanda nice to meet you"I replied politely with a smile
I walked up to the counter and began attending to the customers,to be honest this cafe had way less customers than the previous one I worked at,so I and Adam engaged in a conversation because people where barely coming
"Has it always been like the,you know very little customers?"I asked
"Not really,it's just this isn't the cafes year,we have been losing customers since a new one opened"he replied with a shrug
After that we talked for a long while,he has actually been working here since he was a teenager which was shocking
Soon both our shifts were over and I got ready to leave I noticed he didn't have a car so I offered to give him a ride and he rejected saying he doesn't live too far so I drove home
On the door we're two papers,I took it and read what was written on it,it was an electricity bill and a water bill,I was a little bit confused my parents usually paid those and the papers were usually sent to them,let me just say the bill was not cheap for someone who had very little money in her bank account,so I will just wait for my parents to call then I will tell them
I walked in and removed my shoes dropped my bag and headed to the toilet to take a shower,I came out changed into cropped top and a pair of shorts
I headed to the kitchen to prepare myself a snack,after a few minutes of looking around the kitchen I decided I was too lazy to cook so I just grabbed an avocado and went to the living room to watch television,it took a while but I finally decided to watch fashion channel
I've always wanted to start my own clothing line but I had my future already planned for me bye my parents,the only reason they let me study fashion designing in university was because they had promised that if I excelled in an exam they made me take I could study what I wanted,they know the exam was difficult and they underestimated what their daughter was capable of with a little motivation so I passed I was brought back to reality when I heard a knock on the door
